Ooh, nice twist on the Pascal!
Sure, beyond the "total hours wasted in church" argument, there is the consideration that a believer might have let some opportunities slide because God would straighten everything out later, but since he's non-existent, he's not going to worry about it.
On the other side, the God of infinite mercy would naturally forgive disbelievers who were simply exercising their God-given reason. And if God did not live up to billing, eternal torment would probably be preferable to putting up with the benevolent quirks of a flawed, unpredictable deity.
I'd call it a draw.

Doesn't that presuppose that the Christian idea of God and Heaven are correct?
What if both the atheists AND the Christians are wrong, and the ancient Egyptians had it right? What if you face Anubis and have your heart weighed to see if you enter the afterlife, and if you fail your heart is fed to Ammit?
Who has more to lose if they're proved wrong?
Why should the Christian's mythology be any more valid than anyone else's?

I believe an atheist would loose more. I don't think God would just be like 'oh you couldn't prove me, well i forgive you then'. Unless they made a major change and asked for forgiveness before they died, they would loose more if they were proved wrong. They would have to spend the rest of eternity in hell. If a religious person were proved wrong nothing would happen, they would just be dead, end of story.

The atheist doesn't have temples built all over the world or billions of followers.
And it also depends on how highly you value a Heaven which you cannot prove exists.
Yea, read about Red Lake High School, you Christians.

Pascal's Wager. This is wrong because if the atheist never truly believes, and just fakes it and gets into heaven, this makes a mockery of God, because he who is all knowing couldn't see the truth behind the fakers. This whole question is a moot point because of this.

The atheist would loose more. Simply because the religious person really had nothing to loose to begin with. maybe.

are you saying that people should just pretend to believe in god just to sneak into heaven(if such a thing exists)? It doesn't matter who is right, you either believe in a god or you do not, you can not simply pretend to believe in the hopes that you will be getting some kind of reward

A christian like me, would have lost a lot of time helping poor people in other countries. (not sure if it's true) It's surely not a lost for them. An atheist, as you said, would loose his sould.
Hmmm??
The Bible says: "But fot those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger" Romans 2:8
He won't scape from judgement.
Sad but...

If I'm proved wrong I would say big deal-if a believer is proved wrong then they squandered an entire lifetime clinging to meaningless theological dogma.

Hmmm, I suppose we ALL would lose more if the religious person was proved wrong. Imagine that, losing all hope for the life hereafter and purpose in this life beyond satisfying our own creature comforts.... What a dismal thought.
I hope, for everyone's sakes, that the atheist gets proved wrong. I mean...don't you? Shouldn't everyone hope that???
