it's not "restrictions" it's freedom. How do you look at speed limits? as a restriction or a safety? One example. I didn't listen to God with sex, so I slept with my girlfriend and we broke up, my heart was torn and I was in pain. I gave my emotions and pleasure to someone that is gone now, I've recovered but I realized that God was trying to protect me from that. That's one example of why he tells us how to live, because he made us, he knows how to give us the best life.

either way, people do not like to think for themselves and that is why religion has been around since dirt was invented.
rules are necessary for fools who do not use their brain much. letting the close minded blindly follow their chosen religion keeps them controlled and busy, which in turn, gives the truly initiated individuals freedom to intellectual curiosities and a chosen higher path of consciousness.
