He is a man who has dedicated his entire life to leading people toward spiritual growth. He lived simply and in humility. He spoke in small sentences that made perfect sense. And he always always always stuck strictly to the gospel as presented in the new testament. His message never wavered in 60 years of preaching. He remained a man of integrity while many other preachers fell by the wayside. I have great respect for his life's work.

Getting away from TBN is hard - it's a way to reach those that are saved - but just because you use that way of communication doesn't mean some people on TBN aren't good teachers. I think MOST are NOT good teachers - discernment is a must. Billy Graham is a godly man who has taught the Word and evangelized the world.

No. The Rev Billy Graham has presented his interpretation of the Bible objectively for years. Give the man his due. He isn't a Jerry Fallwell and he isn't a Jim Baker or Tammy Faye. He also isn't rich. He also is not against the Jews. Where did you get that idea?

He is a decent person, and not only talked the talk, but walked the path courageously and with great humility. I saw Bill Graham when I was young in S. Cal. went with a girlfriend, he was a spectacular speaker and I truly felt he had something special from the Lord. A grace, an understanding of the Father and his children, and with that he held to the principles of his life teachings and blessings for us all.
However...he was a great deal different from the likes of Jim Bakker, who claimed many things one of being the mouth piece of God/Jesus and thus, started a group that did not follow the teachings of Christ, but the worship of Jimmy.

He seems like an OK guy to me.
I am always a little suspicious of preachers who want the huge crowds because there is so much room for abuse there. But I have never seen any reason to think that he is anything other than what he says.

The only televangist I've ever liked was Tammy Faye Bakker/Messner. I hate her makeup but how she's quite an open woman. Billy Graham seems like every other televangelist to me.

When I was a little kid I used to like to watch him and listen to the music, but he always had at least one sermon about the end times and it was always about fire. I lived in a rural area where field on fire are common and it just scared me to death. I still have dreams of fires. He was a bit conservative for my taste (I did not know I was not conservative when I was a little kid)...but still I do think he was a sincere man and I think he brought a lot of people to Jesus (he did not force them either...they were people who willingly went to hear him preach). I never really heard of him doing anything wrong.
