I ask this because I think it ridiculous as a notion for a 'God' to create us for the sole purpose of dedicating our lives in worship to 'him' (sic).

That would have to make 'God' not a supreme being but a supreme egotist of the highest order. Do you agree?

Wouldn't that make children and babies the purest form of evil?

This must mean you don't believe in any true innocence and children would surely be condemned to hell.

Can you also explain why certain island societies untainted by Middle Eastern religions or 'civilized' world were peaceful, and only aware of their "shame" of being topless when pervert Christians pointed out to them they should feel that way?
Explain.

As an atheist, I do not believe in any deities. However, I have a friend who is a satanist. He says that there are nine Satanic Sins. I don't remember all of them, but I know that two are stupidity and herd conformity. Anyways, that got me thinking. What happens if you sin against Satan? Do you go to heaven? Does anybody know?

Thanks,
Aidan

Dont you think every religion has its own agenda and rules. I hate to say it but it seems that we as human beings can turn to religion to get anwsers to wrong doings, so we can justify ourselves with the hope that we are going to somewhere (good!!!) after our death. I,ve never been religious but I do respect peoples believes, and in some way wish that I could enjoy the comfort it brings. Would I call my self an aeithist, probably not, I dont reconise that term. If there was anyway I could look at religion in a objective way' I would see it as in terms of, the way we see our living lifes on this earth. It would be almost like a older and wiser being saying let them make there own mistakes and hope they learn.

There is absolutely no proof that any god ever existed except in people's minds, And everything they say a god has done can be explained scientifically or logically to be something else. So, why believe?

The Great Pretender

Lyrics: Buck Ram
Music: Buck Ram

Oh yes, Im the great pretender
Pretending that Im doing well
My need is such I pretend too much
Im lonely but no one can tell

Oh yes, Im the great pretender
Adrift in a world of my own
I play the game but to my real shame
You left me to dream all alone

Too real is this feeling of make believe
Too real when I feel when my heart cant conceive

Oh, yes, Im the great pretender
Just laughing and gay like a clown
I seem to be what Im not, you see
Im wearing my heart like a crown
Pretending that youre still around

Too real is this feeling of make believe
Too real when I feel when my heart cant conceive

Oh, yes, Im the great pretender
Just laughing and gay like a clown
I seem to be what Im not, you see
Im wearing my heart like a crown
Pretending that youre still around

Is it really their fault if their parents haven't taught them right from wrong 'Cause if they don't that really screws their judgement.

Then what is the point of our existence? I know I'm not perfect but ultimately I'm not that bad either like most people. For example I have been told that there is heaven and hell. Bad people go to hell & vice versa. But if god knows what path people will go down, whats the point of our existence?

When I posed this question to my friend they said we make our own decisions and our fate is upto how we make it but wouldn't god ultimately know whats going to become of us?

Seems like a big chest game to me ang gods playing it? I am interested in other peoples view to this.

Hi. I'm not a Christian or Muslim, yet somehow I can still like these people who do believe. They are part of a sect in which inter-religious mariage is either discouraged or forbidden. They generally believe non-believers (like myself) will go to hell.

Yet I have an extreme human-love for these people and I am not sure why. help!??

This is an honest question. I am not looking for intolerant or hateful remarks. I just remember a time when fundamentalism wasn't such a national phenomina......What's changed? Please note that I know a lot of fundamentalist christian people who are lovely, nonjudgmental, and live an honest simple life of peace and servitude. I also know a few who are a bit fire-and-brimstone, and take it to the extreme without concern for other peoples opinions beliefs. I'm just wondering why it's a national hot topic. Your kind and tolerant comments are much appreciated.
