Then what is the point of our existence? I know I'm not perfect but ultimately I'm not that bad either like most people. For example I have been told that there is heaven and hell. Bad people go to hell & vice versa. But if god knows what path people will go down, whats the point of our existence?

When I posed this question to my friend they said we make our own decisions and our fate is upto how we make it but wouldn't god ultimately know whats going to become of us?

Seems like a big chest game to me ang gods playing it? I am interested in other peoples view to this.

God has little idea you exist as an individual, no more then we are aware of a tiny hair on our earlobe, but our body (God) does and is aware of the existence of the hair and its ultimate demise. Why create, well in a small way we are all part of making the universe work.

I don't know about you, but the last week has totally made my existence worth it, whatever the cause of it was.

If it really bothers you, think of it like this: God is outside of time, which means he observes it from a peripheral perspective. The way he knows what is going to happen to us is the same way we know what we did yesterday. Knowledge does not deny us the original choice; it merely affirms that the choice we make will be what we decide it to be and will remain such after we have made it.

Of course if you really want to think outside the box, the supposition that we as God incarnate are intricately involved in the very decision making processes that embody the consciousness of God raises some seriously interesting alternative ways of looking at theology as a whole.

GOD is the god, the supremo of universe.

We still are in the process of describing GOD just like the six blind men described an elephant. Some of us describe as LOVE, some as truth and again some as LIFE. Some of us says going to GOD is heaven and going against GOD is hell. But still we are not able to understand the complete GOD.

To understand GOD we need to look with a much wider view.

If he knows everything, then there is no such thing as free will. The supposed god, in judging us, would be only judging himself, for everything we do would just be exactly as he expected/intended when he initiated everything. Furthermore, if he is all knowing and all powerful and totally benevolent, then he couldn't have been the creator of this world because bad things happen every day. And since a god that is all knowing and all powerful and totally benevolent cant have been the cause of anything bad, the world could not have been caused by him.

The qualities ascribed to the supposed god in the bible contradict each other. The god of the bible does not exist.

Not knowing is the whole point of living this life. It is to find out what God knows. Everything and everyone is made from what God is but with blinds on, so through choices we make with our experiences of life we can find out what God knows. When you truly know you are the same as God, with trust and faith your choices will get better and better with experience. But it is only with hindsight that we can see where our choices have led us. Then we decide whether we want to change our choices.

The question of freewill vs. predestination has beset man as long as he's had the power of abstract thought. You won't find the answer on this website or any other. Hopefully the "big chest game" of your last paragraph is a Freudian slip rather than a wind up...

Personally, I think God is completely different from what we expect him to be, and what he may or may not know. But another thing to consider, is that over time the Bible has been altered by man, and things may have been worded a certain way for people to believe something about God that may or may not be true.

You know that the sun will shine, but you can't control it. That's the way it is for god and people.

The point of our existence is to reproduce, to continue the human race.
