Hi. I'm not a Christian or Muslim, yet somehow I can still like these people who do believe. They are part of a sect in which inter-religious mariage is either discouraged or forbidden. They generally believe non-believers (like myself) will go to hell.
Yet I have an extreme human-love for these people and I am not sure why. help!??

their is nothing wrong with liking people.
like them for who they are, not what they believe in.
you seem to be a nice person that likes people for who they are.
that's good.
i believe that no one can change a person if that person dosent want to change.

Perhaps because you have an opened heart. When you are that way, labels are interesting but not that important. Read some of the works of the poet Rumi sometime and I think you will understand.
BTW, not all Muslims or Christians believe in restrictive marriages. I have a Sunni brother who is married to a Roman Catholic--perfectly ok, she is of the Book. Their daughter was impressed with my Sufi marriage ceremony, which is universal in its scope, and told her father she wished to be wed in that way. I know of many Christian/Jewish marriages, including that of my in-laws.

And you are able to accept them for what they believe or who they are.
