Intolerance, homophobia, racism, bigotry, ignorance, judgementalism, war, prejudice, Female circumcision, honor crimes, Jihad, child molestations by priests, killings of doctors who perform abortions, sexism, shaming of women--even rape and incest victims--who choose to have abortion, terrorism, hate-crimes, holocausts, genocide.

All the things above exist, and I hate those things.

OH YEA, when I was an atheist, and not all atheist are like me, only I was, but there may be a very small percent that are...when I was an atheist, I hated God, for what happened in my childhood, he did not rescue me the way I wanted to be rescued, and so I refused to believe he existed. But he was still able to show me that he did love me and would never leave me, and so he won me over in the end.

How can you? Are you implying that atheists hate gods? They don't, you know, they do not believe gods exist so there is nothing to hate.

In fact I have found far less hatred, bigotry, intolerance and overall nastiness among atheists than I have found among so-called Christians. Christ had two commandments - Love God and Love your neighbour as yourself. Atheists might not love God, he doesn't exist to them, but they certainly love their neighbours - which is something I find difficult to say about so-called Christians.

Well, you can watch a movie and really hate the bad guy, but it's not the same, is it?

The believers, though, certainly exist.

No, but it is possible to hate the people that believe in the thing you do not believe in.

I guess it is possible to hate a concept if you believe that acting under that concept is bad for humanity. But hate for a concept can never be as intense as hate for a real person or thing. Personally, I do not hate theistic concepts, I just see them as extremely flawed and opt not to believe in them.

It's possible to hate the people who claim something exists....

you seem to imply that atheists hate god, or your concept of god. you cannot hate no-thing. so an atheist cannot hate god because he or she or it doesn't exist in an atheist's mind. it's those who espouse the existence of god that atheists may have difficulty with--but they don't hate any more than believers in god hates. and there is objective proof of that, of course--look at the world. i see more hatred coming from religious people--shi'ites against sunnis, christians vs. pagans, etc etc etc. atheists do not, by any means, have the market cornered on hatred. so please be careful who you seem to hate. am i wrong about you? i hope i am.

You can hate the concept, even though it doesn't actually exist, I guess. I'm not all that into "hate", myself. I may not believe in God, but I don't hate the concept of a God. I'm just sad that there's been so much killing and violence in God's name.
