Matthew 5:43-45
"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

I will admit that in the past I have accidently used the Lords name in vain when I've gotten really mad (which doesn't happen much). In the Bible it says that if you use the Lords name in vain that he will never forgive you. But do you think he will give me a 2nd chance if I go to a confession and confess and that I pray for forgiveness? Or will the Lord send me to hell?

P.S. I always try to refrain from even thinking about using his name in vain

I just watched Oprah's big "The Secret" program and it really annoyed me. What do Christians, clergy or others involved in religion or church have to say about this "new" idea?

Those who were reclining at the table with Him began to say to themselves, "Who is this man who even forgives sins?" Luke 7:49

We know that God the father, gives Jesus the authority to forgive sins. In the same way Jesus gives authority to his priests to forgive sins.

So Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you."....If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained." John 20:21,23

Even if you aren't Catholic, can you see why confession to a priest is Biblical?

As a Christian, I don't understand why there are not more Christian environmentalists out there. Instead, we have non-Christians worshipping the earth and taking the lead in protecting the planet that our G-d created. Don't all people, regardless of religion, want to live in a clean, breathable environment?

Where in the Bible does Jesus, himself, speak of the Devil?

I am not asking to try and negate anything, but rather I am just looking for scripture where Jesus -himself- actually talks about the devil.

Thanks for all your knowledge!
