I just watched Oprah's big "The Secret" program and it really annoyed me. What do Christians, clergy or others involved in religion or church have to say about this "new" idea?

It's this NEW dvd yyou buy to "discover" how to receive love, joy, happiness, have a happy marriage, get out of debt-
The Secret as the law of attraction, which is the principle that "like attracts like." ..."the most powerful law in the universe," and says it is working all the time. "What we do is we attract into our lives the things we want, and that is based on what we're thinking and feeling,"
(it has nothing to do with God or religion- this woman "discovered" the NEW concept

I saw it also. I thought it was super hokey. Totally new age type of thinking. The one guy on the panel used to be a drug dealer until he discovered "the secret". You have to hand it to him, he cleaned up his act, wrote a book and will make tons of money scaming people that are lost. The super weird part was that Oprah was sitting on the edge of her seat. This is the first I have ever heard of this , but I can tell you it had nothing to do with God.

That DVD...gets whoever produced it out of debt and into the rich house as well....
Its utter trash. Ive known all my life that "like attracts like". Its one of the reasons Im successful in life - I know to put forth the effort in the right places, I know not to be pessimistic, as you get nothing but pessimism in return...
This is a secret? Shyte - I should have bottled it and ripped of the general public years ago....
