Evidently, then, the earth has an interesting future. In his famous Sermon on the Mount, Jesus foretold: “Happy are the mild-tempered ones, since they will inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5) Moreover, the last Bible book, Revelation, indicates that the earth will become a paradise. Concerning obedient mankind, it says: “God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.”—Revelation 21:3, 4.

I am not a theoligist but I can tell you the most popular theory. The anticrist gains power over the earth for 7 yrs during which the earth and its people face tribulation that has never before seen. Jesus returns and restores peace and basically cleans up the earth. This will bring 1000 yrs of relative peace and mark the beginning of Gods kingdom on earth. After 1000 yrs there will again be some kind of evil uprising which God quickly defeats. This ushers in eternal peace and the end of evil. The supposedly lasts for eternity as it is a world without end. Again I am only hitting the high points here as I admit I do not have full understanding of the Bible or the book of revelations.

Ecc. 1:4, Ps. 104:5; 115:16, Is. 45:18 - Earth created to be inhabited, given as a gift to men and will stand forever.

Revelation 21:3, 4 - a new earth cleansed of sadness, pain and death.

Matthew 5:5, Ps 37:9-11, 29 - a new society of meek, with the wicked gone forever...abundant peace!

Jesus will return to slay the antichrist, the false prophet and satan (the unholy trinity) , then Jesus will judge the living and the dead and establish his kingdom on earth. There will be a new earth and a new heaven and sin will exist no more for the saved. As his return draws nearer, there will be signs on earth and in the "heavens"

THE BOOK OF REVELATION IS NOT TO BE READ AS FACT. IT IS NOT TO BE READ LITERALLY. IT WAS WRITTEN IN CODE TO ENCOURAGE THE EARLY CHRISTIANS WHO WERE BEING ARRESTED AND PUT TO DEATH - TO KEEP STRONG IN THEIR FAITH AND ENDURE THEIR SUFFERING FOR CHRIST. IT WAS NOT WRITTEN AS A BOOK OF PROPHECY OR TO TELL US ABOUT THE FUTURE.
