YES. If medical marijuana is legal, it certainly can't be a dangerous drug. It should be legal for all.

I do, but I don't think any politician concerned about his/her career is going to touch it with a ten foot pole.

I can testify that in moderation, weed doesn't ruin lives and is not a "gateway" drug.

What you have, is too many people with little or no self-control. Look at our obesity problem. You want to call french fries a "gateway" food?

A little moderation wouldn't kill people, but they just don't care - whatever the substance is; alcohol, weed, food, etc.

But, this topic is one of those "hot button" issues, and people are going to believe any amount of nonsense, even if they've never had first hand experience with weed or anything else.

As they say, opinions are like _______.

The critical difference is that some "opinions" are a matter of first hand experience.

Although I'm not a gun enthusiast, I could use their analogy,"weed doesn't ruin lives....people ruin their own lives."

Yes I think it should be legal.Cigarettes are legal, and alcohol, these are much worse for you than marijuana.Pot has great medicinal purposes, also it can be used to make many things which are good to the environment. It's crazy that it's not legal. If used in moderation that is! Besides the health and environment aspects, I don't see anything wrong with a marijuana buzz once in awhile.

Hell yeah! Cannabis is a extremely useful herb. The fiber in the plant can be used to make all sorts of things and the THC in weed can help relieve suffering in people who have terminal illnesses.

Yes. The courts (not to mention the jails) are filled with victimless crimes - the least of which is possession of ganja. It's legal for medicinal purposes here in my state....heck....there's a reefer store in every neighborhood around here. It's a joke to keep it illegal.

Yes.

The government has no business interfering with people's freedom until they interfere with the freedom of others.

Doug - by your logic, weed must have been legal 40 years ago!

Should a natural substance that eases the suffering of millions of sick individuals...should it be legal?

If you say no, youre a freaking uncompassionate jerkoff who cares more about pharmaceutical companies making a profit than in easing suffering of fellow humans...

THATS what I think.

Prohibition made organized crime very rich and powerful. The same applies to the damned gangs of today who deal in illegal drugs. I say legalize, regulate and tax them.

Absolutely not, unless it's been prescribed for a specific medicinal purpose. Recreational drugs do not make people's lives better, and I don't cherish the thought of dozens of people being killed because a subway driver or driver of one of those huge city buses came to work stoned. I don't need perception-distorting drugs to "enhance" my life. I prefer to live it with a clear head.
