If before...is it in God's presence?

If the soul was created before birth (and in God's presence) and then enters a human body, then isn't there a serious problem with that? It has just entered a human and now has the capacity to sin and spend the next part of eternity away from God (possibly roasting in agony)?

If you believe in the timelessness and immortality of the soul, then WHY THE @#$% ARE YOU HAVING KIDS?! There is no guarantee that they will accept your religion or even do good after all.

Doesn't that sound like a horrible thing for us to do? Wouldn't it be better if humanity just didn't exist?

I know I asked this last night, but my link didn't work for some reason, so I'm trying again.

If it was his sister, cousin, whatever, isn't incest a sin? And doesn't this make a little more sense considering the difficulty of converting "heathens"?

I know I'm linking you to something long and drawn out, but please read it before posting an answer.

Since the dawn of Christianity, Christians have always blamed either Satan or sin for the bad things that happen.

Why don't people give him a second chance?

It's not like us humans are that perfect. We've done some pretty vile, selfish, disgusting things too...

Why are humans always in need of an antagonist to hate?

Are they that lacking in comprehension in literature that they would take everything so literally?

that's crazy, especially given how the Catholic church actually debated over what texts to leave in and what to throw out, it's been mistranslated, retranslated, back and forth from different languages,
how could anyone in their right mind take a book so literally which has such a flaky past?
and the OT is the JEW'S holy book and even THEY don't take that crap literally,
so what the hell is your deal?

Do they also believe, like the president of Iran, that the Holocaust never happened? Or that the Spanish Inquisition was just a folk story? Or that the Crusades were just a passing fancy?

I honestly just don't get it. I was watching a show on Evangelicalism today the minister was talking about how proof of Dinosaurs came from the bible, and that they were talked about in there. This obviously is interpretation at its worst.

After the lesson they interviewed the kids and my heart broke for these little brainwashed minds. If a parent chooses to do this on their own I suppose it is their business even though I think it is criminal, but in know way should it even be argued that this be taught beside scientific evidence of the age of the earth, or the evolution of dinosaurs.
