Because nobody ever saw him.

His appearance being recorded would have been a distraction to God's message in the Bible. The second commandment tells us this: " Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth."
Notice it said ANYTHING, ANYWHERE. It doesn't leave any thing or any place out. No images or likenesses.
Now, it's bad enough that most people in general have this perception of what Jesus looked like and you see in many places this perception hanging on walls in a frame. This is a likeness. Take it a step further, and you see people wearing a graven image of a cross, sometimes with a man hanging from it, sometimes not. This is also perceived to be Jesus, or, more specifically, what he looked like while being murdered. The ones without the man are just likenesses or graven images of the murder weapon. People are sick and twisted, thanks to Satan. God knew this would happen, so he wisely did not include a description of Jesus in his word. It's bad enough that people made up their own ideas about what Jesus looked like so that they could make images and likenesses of him and the instrument used to kill him. People have no grasp of what they do...

You don't have to worry about not knowing who the real Jesus is when you hear that here he is, no, he's over here. The return of Jesus Christ will be as a thief in the night for those who aren't prepared for him but when he returns every eye will see him. It will be as the lightening in the west shines into the east.

Even I don't think it was some kind of "Hello" magazine.

And here we see Jesus in his beautiful home, surrounded by furniture made by his father. He is very fond of his mother.

Probably because his appearance wasn't as important as his message.
