They say we incarnate to learn life lessons and some of the hardest lessons we learn through suffering - and someone may chose to come to earth to experience say, physical abuse. Does that make the abuser truely evil? Or are they better souls giving themselves up and choosing to incarnate to that sort of life so others can learn though the suffering?
Are the victims completely innocent, and the abusers just plain evil?! Or did they both choose those roles before they were born? I get confused with the meaning of cruelty in the world - I cant understand why babies/children should suffer. That to me is evil - but then again, I also know everything happens for a reason, even though I may not understand that reason. I dont think I can judge someone for abusing another if I dont understand the reasons why or know the 'bigger picture'. - Anyone have any interesting thoughts/theories?

Lets say in a hyperthetical situation, it was vital that you change your faith, which religion would you switch to?????

If you lack the ability to place yourself this hyperthetical situation, there's no point answering, so don't!

So which faith would you switch to??????

I personally i wouldn't mind being jewish, i love their culture and i feel the religion can perfectly function with modern society.

It is wrong anywhere and anyone to believe anything without sufficient evidence. Christians hold that their faith does good, but other faiths do harm. At any rate, they hold this about the Communist faith. What I wish to maintain is that all faiths do harm. We may define ‘faith’ as a firm belief in something for which there is no evidence. When there is evidence, no one speaks of ‘faith’. We do not speak of faith that two and two are four or that the earth is round. We only speak of faith when we wish to substitute emotion for evidence. Nobdy has any evidence to prove that bible is the word of God. It has to be believed blindly.
Shouldn't beliefs be formed on scientific and logical enquiry? If God wanted people to believe the bible why did he give people the poer of logic and reason? Or is it because he only wants fundies to believe in bible? It looks as if God has not given them the power of logic, reason out and question things

the only conclusion i can believe is related to the resurrection of the saints coming out of the graves.
http://scriptures.lds.org/en/matt/27/52-53#52
52 And the agraves were opened; and many bbodies of the csaints dwhich slept earose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the aholy city, and appeared unto many.

It's not as if religion has never been wrong about this subject. How can people still be so blind in 21st century and deny science? How many more centuries does it take for them to add this to their "oops, maybe you're right" list?

The bible says that it was written by men under the guidance of god, I think most people would say that is true.

This is my question. are you sure these writings are not the ponderings of a madman, these days we give drugs to people like so they can be normal and interact with people.

This is a serious question I would like to what proof you have to support that they where indeed inspired by god.

If you could do this without using your faith or quoting the bible I would be happy.

Your faith and the bible don’t mean much to me.

When I was doing religious education at secondary school, my R.E teacher said that Muslims weren't supposed to have bank accounts because it went against the Qu'ran and all that. But an Islamic bank has just opened on my high street, so I was just wondering if it was optional or if different sectors of Islam can have bank accounts?

Oh, and what's the official way fo spelling the Qu'ran (I was taught to spell it like that, but I've seen it spelt as Kuran as well).
Thanks in advance. :-)

This Doctrine tells about that only God's ellected people will be saved.. As i know many Churches hate this doctrine.. WHy? because they believe that all the Churches they can see in our environment are all going to be save.. Our Church, a Baptist Church teach this Doctrine of ellection , where in our Church teach the True Doctrine of GOd and Strictly in Obeying GOd's Law from the smallest part to Big., I can say that there are many Verses in the Bible that says about In this Doctrine of ellection very clearly.....even some BORN AGAIN CHurches also do not teach this doctrine and hate this Doctrine.. because they believe in the General Redemption, if you are willing to ask somehthing, just email me at bloody_r0ar@yahoo.com.. thnk you

Since they hijacked your peaceful religion I figured you should support it to deter the fanatics. I heard that the soviet Union did it and thats why they never experienced much terrorism.
