It's not as if religion has never been wrong about this subject. How can people still be so blind in 21st century and deny science? How many more centuries does it take for them to add this to their "oops, maybe you're right" list?

The Pope expressed regret for the church's failings regarding Galileo (you know, he's the one with the outrageous idea that the Earth wasn't the centre of the universe) after only 360 years, so we've got a while to go before this lot admit that creationism is a filthy lie.

now are you trying to start a discussion or trying to lecture us and we have to listen?

I hope and I will assume it is the first one so you have to be SCIENTIFIC in your question so this quote

"don't give any of your BS ok? In quran it says Sun goes into the river or something at night. I'm tired of you people and your BS."

as I Muslim, I never heard this before so if you care to give a reference it would be a step in the right direction.

Muslims don't have problems with modern science because as you might have already known as other religions think that science is an evolving thing and the Quran does not speak about flat earth or whatever to be challenged by a WELL ESTABLISHED SCIENTIFIC FACT.

why don't you take a look at this verse of the Quran related to Joseph from Surah 12

[47] (Yûsuf (Joseph)) said: "For seven consecutive years, you shall sow as usual and that (the harvest) which you reap you shall leave in ears, (all) except a little of it which you may eat.

now look at this link

http://www.farm-direct.co.uk/farming/stockcrop/wheat/wheatanat.html

and here is a quote

" 'hulled' wheats have strong glumes which hold the grains in the spikelets; 'naked' wheats are easily released even from the lemma and palea. The ease of release has implications for timing of harvest, ease of threshing, and resistance to disease/predation."

and tell me who taught Joseph or Mohammad for that matter that leaving the wheat in the ears will help protect it from disease and thus allow storing it for extended periods of time.

now do you have a scientific explanation of this?

First there is no scientific fact that proves there is no God, and there is no scientific proof that evolution is correct. There is some evidence for both, but definitely not enough to prove either. And yes religions have been wrong about things in the past, so has science many times. I personally believe this is another time science is wrong. Religion has been misused many times, I will not defend religion as a whole, I will that God exists.

My "so-called 'christian'" faith replaced into created by potential of Christ, and -- no -- accepting evolution isn't a concern for us Orthodox Christians. in actuality, the vast majority of Christians settle for evolution as an element of God's plan.

You mean the fundamental things like the earth is round, we revolve around the sun.... space?

They never seem to even offer a valid explanation of these misconceptions. I thought the Bible was the word of the creator what did he just forget to mention these things?

Should'nt the church be held responsible for the people that where burned alive for explaining these facts?

I dunno, dude, but I wouldn't hold my breath. That would pretty much destroy the credibility of the whole book. Or, what's left of it. I doubt you would ever see an entire overturning of the various faiths. Too much loot and control over people is at stake.

Evolution is science fiction. God created everything and everybody. The Bible tells of the creation of man and the Bible is the Word of God.
