If Heaven is a perfectly happy and blissful place to be, how could anyone become unhappy, jealous and dissatisfied with the status quo there? To do so like satan did implies that there is an imperfection in the way it was created, either in the place or in the person becoming unhappy, further implying an imperfect creator, God. Does this mean that when you believers go to heaven you have to watch your P's and Q's lest you too become unhappy and voice your dissent and end up in hell? If the best angel in heaven could become unhappy there, who are we lesser beings to not find fault too...especially since it seems that you will still continue to have free choice in heaven ..to stay there or go to hell. Do you think you will be good enough a believer to be better than the angel who once sat at the right hand of God and not fall like he did? Is God a loving God to allow you to still fail in heaven and get to hell? If he is, perhaps I'll see you all in hell eventually. What do you think?

In summary, according to multiple references throughout The Physician's Desk Reference, which articulate the research findings of all the birth control pill manufacturers, there are not one but three mechanisms of birth control pills:
1. inhibiting ovulation (the primary mechanism),
2. thickening the cervical mucus, thereby making it more difficult for sperm to travel to the egg, and
3. thinning and shriveling the lining of the uterus to the point that it is unable or less able to facilitate the implantation of the newly fertilized egg.

The first two mechanisms are contraceptive. The third is abortive.

Psalm 127:3 (Contemporary English Version)

Children are a blessing

and a gift from the LORD

Why do Christians do exactly as pagans and think it is ok? Refusing a gift from God? Is that such a wise choice?

If god knows what is going to happen to us while we are on earth, why would he even send us to earth if he knows we are going to fail. And when we fail, we go to hell. It just doesn't make sense to me? If someone could explain it, that would be wonderful.

i saw my spirit came out while i was sleeping.i saw my body and myself and my spirit . i was looking through a mirror in my room, and my spirit was just behind me . i could see everything like my body was vibrating while my spirit was out...
the thing is,i was very depressed at that time and my spirit looked really cool of myself,i was staring at him through mirror ,i was sad,but he was smiling and he said 'yeah'. so is it the god who punish me or it is my spirit? i have a destiny and my spirit creates my reality,my spirit didnt seem to care with my situation or my depression,it was like he was the one who wants to put me in depression or make the life bitter.

I am not saying I believe this, but this is something I have been thinking about, and I just wanted to throw it out. I know it is totally irrelevant, and not something we can know, but I just think it is an interesting thought.

The Bible mentions all different kinds of creatures in Heaven, the angels, the winged creatures around the throne, etc...
I was thinking maybe that we were not God's first creation (I'm not counting the animals and the universe), that maybe the angels and these other creatures also had their own world, maybe in a different dimension or an entirely seperate universe with it's own dimensions, who knows? Just a bit of speculation; I know it is more like a science fiction movie, but I figured it would be fun to discuss. It would also be interesting to think that maybe some of them were not corrupted by sin, or maybe some were and were granted their own form of salvation.

Almost all people are the religon they were raised to be. Being extremely devout is a character trait. If a child of that personality was born in America, they would probably be a nice christian but if that EXACT same child was born in Afganistan they would probably be a suscide bomber in training. I find anyone that is that extremely religous to be very frightening because it means there are more like hime and extremely religous people have been responsible for horrific murder, rape and brainwashing. Anyone agree?

Today I wanted to try to have a mystical experience. I learned a couple things.
1. Meditation works so easily when you just let things slip away from your mind instead of trying to force them out. Insence helps me relax so this is easier.
2. We can translate the mystical experience to every aspect of our lives if we take the time to do it.

Anyway, I lit some incense, ran a bath with some salts I made, turned on my oil burner too, burned some sage around my bath, them kind of dove in, at least as much as you can in a bathtub.
Anyway, the sun was shining in the room a bit through the open window, and it just felt perfect. The water was perfect temperature, there was a slight breeze. It was easy to slip into a meditative state.

It was easy to imagine I was in the ocean on a sunny day with sparkly water, and that mood was the mood of my experience.

I just let stuff come to me, but first I felt total unity. And I had these thoughts, like we're all on Earth and are going to die.

Most people derive their values from religious doctrines. Everyone does some modification, but neverthless the source is the same.

However, suppose you discovered one day that there was no God, would you still believe your moral code was right? After some serious thought, you might then realize that no of those values have any true basis, and that you could very well chose to follow a better or more practical moral-code, one that you own.

What code would you then devise?

Please share some of yours, and give your non-religious rationale for them code or value.

When Christians say they will reunite with loved ones, how will those loved ones look? Will they be in human form? What age will they be?

Isn't it a bit presumptuous for me to believe that my grandfather will look like the way I remember him? What about the way HIS mom remembered him?
