Examination of the Lord Cobham : “Then said the archbishop unto him: ‘Sir John, we sent you a writing concerning the faith of the blessed sacrement, clearly determined by the Church of Rome, our mother, and by the holy doctors.’ …
(Cobham)‘I know none holier than is Christ and His apostles. And as for that determination, I wot it is none of theirs; for it standeth not with the Scriptures, but manifestly against them.’
(lawyer) ‘What is your belief concerning Holy Church.’
(Cobham) ‘My belief is , that all the Scriptures of the sacred Bible are true. All that is grounded upon them I believe thoroughly , for I know it is God’s pleasure that I should so do; but in your lordly laws and idle determinations have I no belief. For ye be no part of Christ’s Holy Church, as your open deeds do show; but ye are very Antichrists, obstinately set against His holy law and will. The laws that ye have made are nothing to His glory, but only for your vain glory

when someone 'mocks their prophet'.
when someone converts to another religion.
when someone is a Christian or a Jew.
when someone disobeys their husband.
when someone in their country won't acknowledge Mohammed.
When else is it OK not to be 'peaceful'?

If he's all powerful, why doesn't he punish the guilty, or stop it from happening.

When the Children were cold and freezing being beat up by Nazis sent to their death, where was God,
If he's just watching it,
does he get a sick thrill from it, and why did so many of those gaurds who kicked naked freezing children in the head before they were sent to their deaths go on to live long fulfilling lives?

How can you say there is any kind of a merciful God personal savior of only human animals gives two craps about any of us when
there is so clearly NO justice in this world.

If God personal friend and savior to the human animal is there at all and had the ability to do something about injustice and suffering he would,
but He doesn't. Because He's not there. We are like microbes on a planet he's barely aware of if he does exist.

NO Justice= NO God.

If there is no hope to live forever, why do anything? What is the point of studying, working hard, becoming "famous" or anything?

The truth is who cares if you won a superbowl 40 years ago when football was still new, or who cares if you discovered a new element, or invented a mathematical theorem? Who cares if you were a famous movie star, or one of the smartest people on earth, or anything? In 50 years, no one will care what this generation did, and no one will appreciate what is happening now. The smart person will be burried next to the dumb one, the rich and famous next to poor. Without a God, is our purpose in life to afford a better coffin than the person next to us when we die?

Doesn't everything seem pointless if there is no God, no salvation, no hope for the future?

Does anyone agree with me? All opinions are apprecaited.

If I really just can't swallow all of it, and I can't, believe me, I've tried.

And if I'm familiar with the Christian religion being as I was born and raised in it, have gone to the churches, the bible studies,

If I just don't believe any of it, and if the Old Testament is boring, vile and sickening to me and beyond my belief that any all knowing God would ever author such horrid drivel,
what should I do?
Force myself? Pray consistantly to believe and swallow that enormous jagged pill as hard as I can?
Lie to myself? Isn't that being dishonest? That wouldn't truly be me if I were just going through the motions pretending even though all of it makes no sense to me.

Mohammad (pbuh) is the purpose why this universe was created. Mohammad is God's Best friend and the perfect human being, God's perfect creation. Mohammad was the most righteous human ever to live. Why do people defy this perfect being? It saddens me greatly.

I'm doing a research paper on the lack of parallel between christianity and hinduism during the 1500-1700 (Europeans Abroad). What were some major reasons (differences) in the two religions as well as rituals and other influences (like a stronger clergy made it harder to break through) that made conversion to Christianity harder for the missionaries (as well as other people). Any recommended books that I can research on about this? What was it about the society, religion, era, politics, hinduism, etc., that made it difficult for christianity to become so big in India. Any formats on how I should write this paper as well as your feedback to these questions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I've gone to numerous bible studies, I've been preached to up the wazoo and I've gone to several of your churches.

I don't find any of it interesting, I don't believe a damn bit of it and I think much of the whole thing is a pile of crap.

What should my next step be?

Was just reading my anthropology book about the Pakistani community in UK, and it says there that most marriages in the community are arranged and are usually between first cousins because religion and community are very important. That made me think... does anyone know any cases of a succesfull Muslim+Christian relationship? I went to college in London where there were many of both Christians and Muslims, but everyone just kinda kept to their own groups.

Why does one desire or crave things? why do we cling on to material items and useless things that cannot help us avoid death? They don't and America is now a corporation rather then a country.
Why to Atheists is life just "going along for the ride" and when you die absolute nothingness? how can one accept this and know that everything they have done is temporary and they wont gain happyness from eating fancy foods. How can "memories" help cause to you when you die its nothing there are no memories. we have developed far more then any other animal and you are making it seem like its a push over. How can one live with this!
And what if their is no after life! how can one accept this! I dont want to die! Its not fair how you all just take it as if its normal its not! How can we escape this suffering! by removing our cravings for this earth and accept Jesus Christ and God. my new religion is Christianity and Buddhism and no matter what you say i think its right.
