I will put this in a way that Christians and atheists can understand (because I'm not Christian): The Christian belief is that Jesus died for us so that we won't go to hell right? But it was HIS choice. AND he also didn't do it for any person in particular, which means that you personally were not in his mind and I doubt he even knew anything about you at the time either. Plus, while the crucifying process was occurring, you didn't want him killed and you weren't even born yet either. So no, you aren't a murderer. And God does forgive murder IF you do it for the right reasons such as killing a person who has murdered your family unjustly and for no reason. Or if a person has raped your mom (then killed her) and slit your dad's throat right in front of your eyes and will go for you next, then if you kill that person, God won't care the slightest bit because you may not be the killer's only victim AND it was also self-defense (stuff like this happens hundreds of times every single day in third-world countries). So imagine if I did all that to you. You would want me dead and for a VERY good reason too, thus God wouldn't care and wouldn't even consider giving you a sin for the killing after what has just happened to you. HOWEVER, if you are the one doing this to people then you won't be forgiven unless you do a long process of repenting and a lot of other stuff too, and even then God may not forgive you. And one more note: You can kill for the right reasons like how I said above. BUT you cannot torture. That is within God's hands. And he will get tortured more severely than anything you could even hope to come close to thinking of. P.S. If you are atheist, then it wouldn't matter to you because sins don't really exist to you and you don't believe that a god will punish you.

According to the bible, God forgives everyone for their sins. If you're Catholic, you can just go to your local priest, tell him your sins, then pray to a statue for a half an hour or so and you'll be forgiven.
Religion put on the side, people are people. If we're God's creation, then he knew what he was doing. To murder someone is just as natural as it is to take care of someone.
If you wanna take it even further than that, the devil himself was created by God. God knew what he would become eventually, for God knows all, right? So therefor, isn't is safe to assume the devil is just another part of God? And if pure evil is part of God, then why would God not forgive you for doing evil if you ask for his forgiveness? Besides, what about the murdered souls? They've been sent free. By doing something so terrible in our eyes, you might've done something great in God's eyes. It's all too complicated to care either way. There's so many ways to argue either case.

Does God forgive if the person sincerey repents? Yes He does. Forgiveness is not a get out of jail free card though. True repentance means accepting the penance for your sins. That can be here on earth or in the life after.

God treats all sins as the same. He doesnt say "okay you swore, i'll let you off this time, Oh you murdered someone, you're going to hell." God doesnt work that way. Ofcourse he will forgive you. That doesnt mean that he approves of it. He loves us so much that he will always forgive us. No matter what. And if you truly are sorry and want forgiveness you won't still go to hell.

"You are the way the truth and the life
We live by faith and not by sight, for you
We're living all for you"

Yes God forgives murderers. If you truly ask Jesus into your heart and truly believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and he will save you. If after you are saved(born again) you murder someone you can ask God for forgiveness and no you wont go to hell. Hell is for people who have not recived Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour. Not unless that person actually believes and trust God. And they must repent, turn from the sin, and not do it anymore. Your example was none of that. Nor did he ask for forgiveness.

And no, once God forgives sin, the person does not go to hell.

These following scriptures are from the Book of Mormon and the Doctorine and Covenants. They pretty much state that murder is one of the few unforgivable sins and that not following the commandments (One of them is: Though shalt not kill) is another unforgivable sins.

Alma 39: 6
6 For behold, if ye adeny the Holy Ghost when it once has had place in you, and ye know that ye deny it, behold, this is a sin which is bunpardonable; yea, and whosoever murdereth against the light and knowledge of God, it is not easy for him to obtain cforgiveness; yea, I say unto you, my son, that it is not easy for him to obtain a forgiveness.
D&C 84: 41, 61
41 But whoso breaketh this acovenant after he hath received it, and altogether turneth therefrom, shall bnot have forgiveness of sins in this world nor in the world to come.

Well if the person repents completely, and never does a homicide again, and turns himself in (which is the hardest step), yes God will forgive him. No one is actually tormented for eternity in hell, hell is a symbolical place where people are dead. No one feel pain when they are dead. It depends on the person's actions.

The Bible says that Jesus died for all man's sins. God forgave Moses and David for there murders, but he made them both pay the consequences for their sin. A loving Father disciplines his children, but he will not kick them out of the family. They are still saved from Hell.

Of course God forgives murders. They must repent first, but God can forgive anything.
