Or would you find someone to take the punishment with you?

I think they are a little bit unsure of their faith and try to score points with God,

I think If you were in trouble with Man, you may feel like you are trouble with God.

I guess if you murdered someone, God would not be pleased with you.

I don't think I answered your question very well.

I think he understand most of our faults and frailties. I think the best way to deal with any problem you have, wether its with God or man , is to face it.

Running away, in any form wont help anyone.

I have an Advocate, someone to represent me, that someone is Jesus. He is setting on the right hand of God the Father, representing His that call upon Him. We don't try to convert religions, but we do try to convert from their sin sick life to accept Jesus as their Savior. Jesus said that "no one comes to the Father accept through Him", "A man must be born again before he can enter into the Kingdom of God". It's just that plain and simple.

If I were in trouble with God, I would pray for forgiveness. And the only reason I would attempt to convert someone to Christianity is because I would love for everyone to have eternal life. (You as well).

If I were in trouble with God, converting someone would be my least concern. I would have to be conversing with God and asking for forgiveness. No one else would be in on the conversation. My sin is between God and myself, not you and I and God.

Christians try so heard to get people to follow God because we know that God works wonders and we want other people to experience him to the level that we do. Remember, God always forgives sins, he doesnt question. That doesnt mean people should take advantage of the fact that he will forgive you countless times. He forgives us because he loves us, not because he wants us to like him.

"You are the way the truth and the life
We live by faith and not by sight, for you
We're living all for you"

If I were in trouble with God, no one else but me would have to stand before Him. Thank goodness Jesus will testify for me that I am one of His flock.

You are sadly mistaken if you think that's all we do, is try to get people to convert. That's not what we do, we are to spread the good news, and if they accept it, then WooHoo, if not, then we've done our part and can go on.

Come home to God.
Admit your mistakes
Repent.
Believe you need God to make you whole again.
Receive his blessings.
It's that easy. You don't need to convert anyone. It is personal and internal.
