ok, first, background for the question, which as i stated is directed at christians, which is a somewhat general term: in christianity, god is believed to be omnipotent (able to do anything) omniscient (able to see everything, past, future, and present), and omnipresent (everywhere at once) and his greatest "promise" to mankind is that of "free choice" the ability to choose where you go in your life, whether to believe in him or not, to accept jesus or not, and therefore "choose" in a roundabout way, whether you "burn" in hell or spend eternity worshipping him. now, given that these statements are accurate, i ask how choice is possible if god knows everything, past present and future? IE: he already knows whether or not each and every one of us WILL or WILL NOT choose to follow him, which means that we CAN NOT choose one way or the other. our decision is already made for us. we cannot have free will or choice with the presence of an all knowing being. therefore, is god a liar ?

Seems an Oxymoron to me. Jews, for the most part, disbelieve Jesus, yet Jesus says he's the only way to heaven. Therefore, Jews, god's chosen people, are going to hell? I love how logical and rational you guys can be.

Does everyone have to look like a 15 year old around here? Where is the gray hair, the white whiskers, the furrowed brow? Perhaps some grandchildren as "accessesories?" Is Yahoo! run by a bunch of adolescents?

Where are our 360 pics? I feel like I'm doing "false advertising" with that damned avatar thing.

It doesn't make sense that a powerful being would die for his creation. I understand about the LOVE and all but why then God create Hell to punish the sinners. If Jesus/God died for humans then does that mean humans don't have any sins any more and we can do more sins delibertly and get away with it just by BELIEVING in the theory that Jesus/God is the savior? Does this mean all humans that r yet to be born are sinless even if they do sin because Jesus/God died for our sins so we can be saved? "Jesus died for our sins" << How does this work? Why is there Hell made? what was the purpose of Jesus dieing when to this day people are sinning every which way non stop?

Please answer ALL parts of my question.

P.S. This is utterly confusing and lack logic to the zenith.

What did you read in particular?

Did you read the context or just individual verses?

Did you read with a doubtful motive or a desire to prove it wrong?

Were you saved when you began to read it?

I have noticed that many Atheists believe the Bible itself is the #1 cause of Atheism.

I would agree....to an extent.

The Word can only be understood and God can only speak to you through it when the spirit of God is living inside of you. So, if you weren't saved when you tried to gain spiritual insight through it, the things you read were only moral culturalistic tips on how to live life. (Many of which involve "slaughter of the innocent" which would appear completely ruthless and cruel in otherwise circumstances)

God breathes his life into the Word. You cannot have one without the other: The Word, and the Spirit of God.

After answering these questions, are you noticing a difference between the Bible and all the other religious texts you may have studied?

I'm an atheist. However, I always feel 'compelled' to convert to Catholicism or Eastern Orthodox Christianity. Why is this? Anybody is free to answer.
