God So Loved the World, by Jaci Velasquez from her self titled CD
(Jaci's a Catholic too)
That song is obviously from John 3:16

Christ is My Hope by The Innocence Mission from their Christ is My Hope CD (they are also Catholics)
1st Peter ch 3 v 15 and Romans 15:13.

Also, Melissa, "Turn, Turn, Turn" is from Ecclesiastes chapter 3..

There are many songs which have directly been taken from scripture.

"Kumi Ori (Arise and Shine)" by Batya Segal
"Forever" by Chris Tomlin
"Jonah was a Prophet" by the Veggie Tales (funny funny song)
"Sometimes By Step" by Rich Mullins
"Lift My Eyes" by Bebo Norman
"Come, Let's Go Up to the Mountain" by Paul Wilbur

Scriptures; "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked."
I John 2 Holy Bible KJV
"2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." I Timothy Holy Bible KJV

Song;
"JESUS, THY BLOOD AND RIGHTEOUSNESS

Jesus, Thy blood and righteousness
My beauty are, my glorious dress;
‘Midst flaming worlds, in these arrayed
With joy shall I lift up my head.

Bold shall I stand in that great day,
For who aught to my charge shall lay?
Fully absolved through these I am,
From sin and fear, from guilt and shame.

Lord, I believe Thy precious blood,
Which, at the mercy seat of God,
Forever doth for sinners plead,
For me, e’en for my soul was shed.

Lord, I believe were sinners more
Than sands upon the ocean shore,
Thou hast for all a ransom paid,
For all a full atonement made. " Nicolaus L. von Zinzendorf (1700-1760)
