Before you answer state if you are Adventist or not.
If you find a girl that you love and trust and the feeling is mutual, shouldn't that be more important than if he is an adventist? It seems that the church is a third person in the relationship, and what is bad is its a third person that can not be reasoned with, or compromised with. The relationship seems to be on notice and under seige untill i decide to get baptised.
I am not familiar with the customs as to love, Is any random adventist man more suitable than i am simply because i am not an adventist?
How do you controll who you love and why should you? why should we break up if i decide not to baptise, even if i will visit and pay tides and offering? If i open a business that makes the most money on Saturday (Sabbath) why cant i hire someone to run the business on that day as a compromise of not missing church? Do i have to give my soul to the church to avoid ending my relationship?

FROM- the Bible at --Hebrews 3:4

NOW THE LOGIC & REASONING:

If we saw a beautiful estate, with buildings of all kinds, beautiful 3 story house with 20,000 sq. feet of space, barns, zoo, amusement rides, ski slopes, horseback riding stables & trails, natural water swimming pools etc. --on a 100 acre piece of land & we wished to meet the maker of this beautiful estate!

--What if we could not find the person, nor his designers, building crew etc. They as people could not be found anywhere to MEET and TALK to,--- no matter how hard we tried?

--Would we deny that anybody built & developed this beautiful piece of property OR would we resign ourselves to the fact that somebody indeed did make this fantastic place?

--Why cannot this reasoning & logic be applied to God?

--Does not the same scenario exist as it does with our lost owner and his staff?

Is God>father and Jesus> son? If so, then how is Christianity considered MONOTHEIST religion? Shoudn't it be polytheist? And whats up with the "Holy Ghost"< what does this mean? If there's no difference between God and Jesus then why not just call God, God, instead of calling God one time and Jesus the other times? How can God have a son when He isn't like humans and reproduce like us? If God CREATED Jesus, then shouldn't Jesus be his CREATION just like we are and NOT a god? How can God have children when he CREATES and NOT REPRODUCE? Christianity is highly confusing and extremely contradictory, why do you christians follow it knowing that many of the logic behind the religion are completely unstable and highly doubtable? Should the "truth" be contradictory and false, is "truth" ever doubtable to the conscience.

Why Did Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) Got Married With Young Aisha Siddiqa (r.a.)?
Through the centuries, orientalists have advance numerous accusations and far-fetched theories to discredit Islam and its last Prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him). Praise be to Allah alone, all such accusations have been successfully refuted by the Muslims Ummah. Currently, one of the ‘reinvented’ accusations against the noble character of the Prophet is about his marriage to young Aisha Siddiqa (r.a.).Let’s probe some of the orientalists’ charges in detail in the light of modern research, historic evidence and the Islamic sources of the Qur’an and the Sunnah to separate truth from falsehood, and display to the world that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is indeed an exemplary for all of mankind. Two main theories are often advance by orientalists to attack the pure character of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) on his marriage to Aisha (r.a.) at her young age.A. He was a Paedophile.

B. He was involved in child abuse.

Let’s analyse each theory to dig out the truth, through the Guidance of Allah (SWT).
A. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) married Aisha (r.a.) because he was a paedophile?

Definition of a Paedophile:

“Pedophile: also spelled PAEDOPHILIA, psychosexual disorder in which an adult’s arousal and sexual gratification occur primarily through sexual contact with prepubescent children. The typical paedophile is unable to find satisfaction in an adult sexual relationship and may have low self-esteem, seeing sexual activity with a child as less threatening than that with an adult.” Encyclopaedia Britannica, 1998.“pe.do.phil.ia n [NL] (1906): sexual perversion in which children are the preferred sexual object — pe.do.phil.i.ac or pe.do.phil.ic adj.” Merriam Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary.

The diagnostic criteria for paedophilia according to American Psychiatric Association:

Over a period of at least 6 months, recurrent intense sexual urges and sexual arousing fantasies involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children.
The person has acted on these urges, or is markedly distressed by them.
The person is at least 16 years old and at least 5 years older than the child or children in A.

DSM-III-R Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, rev ed. 3, (American Psychiatric Association).

“In addition to their paedophilia, a significant number of paedophiles are concomitantly or have previously been involved in exhibitionism, voyeurism, or rape”. (Voyeurism is the recurrent preoccupation with fantasised or acts that involve seeking out or observing people who are naked, or are engaged in grooming or in sexual activity).

Harold I. Kaplan et al., Synopsis of Psychiatry, 5th ed. (Williams and Wilkens, 1988), p. 360.

I have a friend who says she is atheist. She does not believe in any higher power. Yet she somehow believes in ghosts. How is this possible? What can she think ghosts are if she doesn't believe in an after life or anything like that?

I'm not religous however, apparently Adam and Eve were the first man, and woman. And there son Cain after killing Able his brother moved to the land of Nod and married his wife? Well.. because it actually names the place, I assumed there must be other talk of this place, however I have yet to find any other information on it. Does anybody "know" or "proclaim to know" what Nod refers to?

not a joke sounds funny but really what would cause all the different countries to get so upset that they each would send there military to fight in a war that i think is supposed to be agaist isreal .
i mean once a few countries go there wouldnt that be enough to make people say hey wait this is the build up to the end war. so then lets not go .
what reason do you think will be given to justify such a war .
we are not robots so we have to have some motivation for showing up WHAT DO YOU THINK.

Wouldn't the solution to theism be A) very simple and obvious and B) quite beautiful and amazing. Why such a complex maze of mythology mixed with history, scribes, disciples, devils, angels, ghosts, spirits, souls, laws, salvations, commandments, serpents, crucifictions, resurrections, prophecies.

I am looking to date but for the right reasons. I am not expecting a big commitment at this point but I am not going to compromise the bible's satndards for dating by crossing inappropriate boundaries. The problem is I see men who know I am interested in dating, leer at me instead of being repectful. I dress fashionable and not in any way provocative. Why is this happening?

What I mean, is fully human-like. If the human ancestor's brain was at one time just as tiny as an apes, and our size was smaller in stature, we had exaggerated brows, etc. Why have no other species been "selected" to be gifted with the ability to speak and reason?

2007-02-05 11:50:31 · 26 answers · asked by Anonymous

Creationists, there is no mention of Homo floresiensis in Genesis. How could God have forgotten about a whole species of human? What an enormous blunder. Not only does scientific theory of evolution prove parts of Genesis wrong but it missed an entire species! Does that mean Genesis does not hold all the answers? Perhaps the bible got some things wrong?

Are you now ready to believe the facts instead of ancient bible myths about the origin of our species?

What is meant by experience w/ no “subject” or “object”? What is meant by “subject” & “object”? in the following sentence: For a person who has attained the goal, experience occurs with no 'subject' or 'object' superimposed on it, no construing of experience or thing experienced."

because of it's lack of empathy for human beings who don't hold the same belief as them, believing they will be sent to eternal suffering. This is very sad, and I think the whole meaning and good teachings that go along with the religion is destroyed by this sadistical, egocentric viewpoint that was added to the religion at some point in the 15th century. Why does any1 believe a god would do this to innocent people? Beliefs are decided by culture not some good/wicked decision that each person makes...this can easily be recognized by looking at a globe and the percentage of population that follow christianity/ to those that don't in each region, so not only is sadistical and egocentric to hold this belief and still worship the god, but it's ignorant as well. Can't christianity do without the whole hell thing?

religion (i.e. Judaism, Christianity, or Islam) is the "right path"? Especially since these religions are created by purportedly holy men.
Because I think that all paths that lead to the light are paths of divinity.
I am seeking answers so that I can compare and contrast, not to be preached to.
