I am looking to date but for the right reasons. I am not expecting a big commitment at this point but I am not going to compromise the bible's satndards for dating by crossing inappropriate boundaries. The problem is I see men who know I am interested in dating, leer at me instead of being repectful. I dress fashionable and not in any way provocative. Why is this happening?

The problem is that all men are sinful just as all women. Jesus said in Matthew that to even look upon a woman with lust is the same as committing adultery. I can't think of a single man that is innocent of this. Know that it is difficult to find men who take this seriously enough to try and respect you but hold for one that does. It is far better to be patient and find someone who respects you for the good they see in you, than to be impatient and have a lifetime of regret because you jumped at what looked and felt good.

God's Word says we are enticed drawn away after our own lusts. The lusts of the flesh,the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life. These statements were given to the assemblies, those begotten of God. We are constantly admonished to resist the former ways we walked in before we knew Yeshua(Jesus) How ? Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.Set your mind on things above and not on things below.Saturate yourself in His word. The next thing you know your effortlessly walking in His perfect will and plan.Yes, we all have hormones, but we are to control them , they are not to rule over us.He has made us kings and priests, a Holy Nation. These men who glare at you(since you say you dress modestly) Are simply not renewed in thought with The truth. They aren't serious for God. Trust The Lord to hand pick him for you. He'll be a man who makes you jealous for the way of His Spirit. A good man.

How do you know that they are "leering"? I know that women used to falsely accuse me (behind my back) of staring at their breasts simply because I used to have a bad habit of not making eye contact whenever I spoke to someone (I used to be shy as a child, and I developed a habit of looking at the floor when I spoke to someone). It took me years to figure out what people were so upset about, because few people ever told me to my face what people were saying, and without a context, I couldn't figure out what specific actions offended them until I read about it in a physiological book somewhere.
I'm not saying that you are right or wrong, but you might want to avoid jumping to a conclusion about people that you don't know.

Because, truth be told men have hormones! And sometimes they dont think with their heads. But, despite the horniness, there are some men who are completely respectful. Keep looking doll. You'll find one out there somewhere.

You have to remember just because they go to Church doesn't mean that they're God fearing men.
Remember some of the biggest devils sit in the front pew EVERY Sunday! Stay prayed up and God will answer.
