I attend a small, family Pentecostal church. We recently had our longtime pastor retire and replaced him with a new (the man is 63 I believe) pastor and his wife and son. His son, just one of several, still lives at home hes 34, not handicapped or disabled, just lazy, anyway, our church went thru some terrible times under this pastors guidance and lost all but 4 members. We asked him to leave, which he did after an awful argument that demanded the attention of the district. Now that he is gone and we are trying to get the "old" congregation to return, it is a slow process. We are n dire need of people to come back but we r unsure as to how to get them interested in our church again. Most understand that the preacher we had did alot of damage as far as the congregation is concerned and dont seem to be willing to trust again. Any advice. Serious answers only please as this is a critical time we as a church are going thru. Thanks

I'm pretty sure religion isn't doing it for me. Just doesn't make sense.

Does he speak through a person's imagination? That may be the only place he could ever reach me. I'm just not wired for "regular" emotional faith. Nothing I can do about that.

assume that Christians don't believe in science or doctors. That is a misconception. Luke, who wrote the book of Acts and the gospel by his name, was a doctor. Jesus is referred to as "the great physician".
What's up with that?

What pasage in Ezeikiel describes witchcraft like this. They put spiritual bands around a persons soul trying to trap the soul somehow. Also states that person will leap about like a young calf released from a stall when Jesus sets them free. Can anyone answere?

I am a strong beliver in God, and the supernatural.. those of you non-believers who are always poking fun, condemning, judging, and insulting those of us who believe in God, and the spiritul world... Think about this .. For those of us who believe, if we are wrong we have nothing to lose.. but.. if you are wrong..???? :)

Wolves eat pigs, foxes rabbits. If God didn't want us eating other animals he would have made them poisonous or something.

As Saved Believers, we must be 100% dependent on God, and through that dependence, we are made victorious against any weapon the Devil may use against us.

However, it's impossible to reach this point when we only see ourselves from a physical or earthly point of view, because temptations and human weakness will cause us to question who we are in the Spirit.

So how would you describe or explain who you are in the Spirit?

Ephesians 4:24 that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Matthews 12:30-32 says that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is unforgivable. Some say that it means that if you die and still don't listen to the Holy Spirit to repent and accept Jesus you won't be forgiven. But according to the verse and the context of what it is in, is it really saying that? I want some people's input on this to make it clear for me!

What's with this easy-believeism going on in "supposed" Christian churches today?

I've heard people saying, "just sign this card", or "repeat this prayer, and Jesus will save you..." Where's REPENTANCE? Aren't certain leaders in Christianity giving people a hope of Heaven and sending them off to spend an eternity in a devil's hell?

Have they forgotten Jesus' OWN WORDS? "....Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish". (Luke 13:3)
