The best way to witness to a Mormon is to ask them about their faith--and try to discuss the differences between Mormonism and true Christianity. It's best not to try and witness during a one-time conversation where you lay it all out on the counter-- But ask them questions over time and hold discussions about it. It's best to have a relationship with the person and have a solid understanding of the differences between mormonism and Christianity.

Mormonism 101 (Christianity vs Mormonism), the God Makers (a little antagonistic, but interesting), and One Nation Under Gods (thorough history of church) will provide some eye-opening information about Mormonism. Be careful, mormons have an answer for everything--so be well versed in scripture so you can prove to them that there is only one God, what grace truly means, etc.

The best places to drive home the witnessing points are: Grace, Who God is, and Who Jesus is. These are the points they are most likely to convert on and, therefore, all the other theology won't matter.

And, most of all, pray.

If you need more information or would like to discuss this in further detail, please feel free to e-mail me. I can also tell you what a Mormon will say in response to your comments--if you'd like.

Good luck!

Bash their beliefs, tell them they are wrong, ask questions that are impossible for anyone to answer, put down their prophets..
That's what most Christians seem will work to "change" Mormons or "prove" them wrong...

If they listen to your testimony, will you listen to theirs? Would you go to their church?
If a person actually found out what the church is all about, instead of going off of what others who HATE the church say, that person would find the Mormon church is true, the gospel is everlasting and we have prophets who lead and guide us under the direction of Jesus Christ himself.
Good luck.

Stay with the big topics
-nature of God
-has the priesthood been "restored"? What does the book of Hebrews say?
-nature of salvation

The following are interesting topics but will not get you to a productive place:
-at what age did Joseph Smith move to Ontario County?
-did Joseph Smith join a church despite God telling him not to?
-what is the language "Reformed Egyptian" and why would Jews speak it?
-why would Jews bring pigs over on the ark?

Read the book "Fast Facts About False Teachings" by Ed Decker / Ron Carlson and educate yourself about what they believe. This book it compares the beliefs of other religions with Christianity and how they differ.

That would be acceptable since Mormons are Christian in every possible way. Bearing one's testimony is a start for any of us. Are you game to hear a testimony from a Mormon?

It could change your life.

That would be funny to see! I bet the continual attempts at conversion would open a small tear in the fabric of space & time between them, and gay alien midgets would flood the Earth.

And what did Jesus say when His disciples showed your attitude?

38 ¶ And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.
