Jesus had a large popular following in Galilee, and he had several allies in the Sanhedrin. The Jewish rebellion had become so fierce that the Romans were forced to send in Pontius Pilate to act as Procurator. Pilate was a cruel governor, and was known to brutally murder thousands of Jews at a time for even the slightest hint of trouble. When Jesus initiated a riot in the Temple courtyard just before Passover, a few members of the Sanhedrin (concerned that Pilate would launch a violent backlash) had him arrested and turned over to the Romans, who crucified him (amid the protest of many Jews, including other members of the Sanhedrin who supported him). According to Christian tradition, Pilate asked the crowds what he should do with Jesus. The members of the Sanhedrin sent plants among the crowd to call out for crucifixion.
The Answer? Jesus was crucified by the Romans under the orders of Pontius Pilate, just as all of the ancient Christian Creeds maintained.

Actually heres what happened....the romans controled that part of the middle east at that time and the jewish high preist believed jesus was a false profit and so the majority of jews wanted him dead. The roman in charge Pontius Pilate had to have him executed to prevent a jewish rebelion. But he didnt want to kill him,he even gave them a choice as to who to set free eather jesus or a murderer named Barbarus. The jews where in charge of who was to be killed so the jews where responseable for killing jesus more so then the romans.Who killed jesus? the jews and the romans.Im sure jesus wouldnt want people running around pointing fingers and fighting over who killed him.Dont forget he did rise from the dead 3 days later so it really doesnt matter who killed him.He Asended with his body(took his body with him to heaven)Im sure he forgives whoever was responsable"hes jesus ya know"The most enlightended man on the planet at the time or the most enlightened period. This was all ment to be,think of what would have happen if jesus had never been killed,we would have never heard of him.I think the world would be an much worse place if things didnt happen the way they did.

Biblically: Every man or woman that has ever sinned, sins, or will sin. i.e., everyone. We sacrificed Jesus for the atonement of our sins. Now all we have to do is accept it.
Historically: The Romans killed Jesus on a cross (which historically was in the shape of a T, but later artists used the cross to represent it). Pontus Pilate saw over the ruling of Jesus' crimes and thus ordered his death. The Jewish people were the ultimate judges at the time though, who preferred to have Jesus killed than the thief Baracus.

According to the Christian New Testment, Jesus was killed by crucifixion. This was a common method used by the Roman empire; about 10,000 Jews were killed in this fashion during Jesus' lifetime. The Roman rulers killed Jesus; whether it was at the behest of Jewish leaders or not, Rome "did the deed."

It was predicted in the old testament that Jesus was to be the savior of the world and would die to pay the penalty of everyones sin. Therefore we are all ultimately responsible for Jesus' death, as we all have sinned.
As a side note, alot of the ruling jews of the day did not realise, Jesus to be the savior that they were looking for, and wanted him put to death as a blasphemer because he proffesed to be God. However the romans decreed that only the Roman government could sentence someone to death, so at the request of the jews and the general populous, Caesar had Jesus senteced to death.

The Romans did. Crucifixion was the Roman method of executing traitors and rebels (the Jews used stoning). Furthermore, all sources on Pontius Pilate outside the New Testament depict him as an unmitigated sadist--he was eventually recalled to Rome because even the government thought he went to far in oppressing and alienating the Israelites.

The Jewish religious leaders turned Jesus into the Romans to have him killed because the Romans weren't originally going to have anything to do with Jesus.
They really only killed him to make the Jewish leaders happy and keep semi-decent relations between the Jewish people and Rome under the accusation of Jesus calling himself king (which is ridiculous since his kingdom is not of this world).

The Jews took a vote and said kill him, so the Romans, who were running the country, did just that. So the Jews could blame the Romans and the Romans could blame the Jews.

The people in the town who witnessed Jesus and Barbarus. Pontious Pilate, the Roman soldier in charge of the law, told Jesus he did not want to kill him, but by law, he had to do his job. Jesus respected that and said he would not be held accountable for His death. Pilate told the people, do they want Barbarus, a dangerous criminal who had been held in the Roman prison for years, hung on the cross, or to be set free among the people. He then asked the same question for Jesus. The majority of the crowd (some of the Jews, some Romans) wanted to crucify Jesus on account of saying He proclaiming to be the Son of God. Few believed Him, but majority ruled. But in reality, we all condemned Him to the cross. He did it so that our sins could be cleansed. But Jesus rose again in three days, and is now in heaven with the Lord.

Both of them.
The Pharisees - Jewish people - planned with the Romans to kill Jesus.
And Jesus was Jewish - but Jewish people believe that Jesus did not come and die for us yet. So he was Jewish for his whole life, since he did not die yet.
This is what I think, I'm not entirely sure.
