During the Lord's Supper they used wine and bread to pretend they were drinking blood and eating a corpse. Even when I was a child I thought it was seriously messed up.

The bread and the wine are only symbols of the blood and the body of Christ that He shed for us.
It's like a married person wearing a wedding ring. It's a symbol to show they are married.

This is a Catholic doctrine and not scriptural at all.Communion is taken only as a reminder of what Christ did for us on the cross.I am so sorry you have been subjected to such blasphemy. Please do not hold the Lord accountable for such barbarism.Go to a christian church and you will find it much different.

I agree. It's rather disturbing. How does eating flesh and drinking blood (even symbolically) improve a person's situation? Not logical.

Whenever I eat cheetos, I symbolize that I am devouring souls. Air filled and outrageously cheesy.

The words used are "in remembrance of" - as in it is symbolic.

Uh...where did you get that? The blood thing is a metaphor, it's not literal and they weren't pretending anything. You're digging way too deep man, way too deep.
