In summary, according to multiple references throughout The Physician's Desk Reference, which articulate the research findings of all the birth control pill manufacturers, there are not one but three mechanisms of birth control pills:
1. inhibiting ovulation (the primary mechanism),
2. thickening the cervical mucus, thereby making it more difficult for sperm to travel to the egg, and
3. thinning and shriveling the lining of the uterus to the point that it is unable or less able to facilitate the implantation of the newly fertilized egg.

The first two mechanisms are contraceptive. The third is abortive.

Psalm 127:3 (Contemporary English Version)

Children are a blessing

and a gift from the LORD

Why do Christians do exactly as pagans and think it is ok? Refusing a gift from God? Is that such a wise choice?

Also, if we truly believe Jehoval Jireh, God is our provider, why do so many Christans use the excuse that we can't afford too many children?

Also, why do so many worship songs sing about Giving God all of me and that God is in Control... But then Christians say, 'yes, all of me, except my womb- I'll control that part, God- You might mess up.'

Thank you for pointing out this information. I do believe that woman want to be in control of something and they feel that "they know" when the best time to have a child. Also the argument of "the Lord gives us wisdom" so basically they say they just don't trust God to supply all of their needs" Philippians 4:19.

God may provide, and God may give gifts - but the question is, exactly *what* is being provided or gifted? Perhaps, what God provides in a particular instance is awareness that a child would suffer, were the mother to have it?

Children are great, yes. but every child deserves to be loved, and wanted, and have the basics of food, clothing, etc. In some circumstances, kids aren't going to get any of that, let alone as much as they need.

As much as people are worried about knowing God's will in one direction, pulling a 180 and doing the exact opposite - presuming to know best - is just as bad.
