I mean...wouldn't Satan pretend to be God? He would tell people to do evil things right...? However, for the majority of you out there, i.e. Christians, what if someone of a different religion has a personal experience with their God, which fills them with a feeling of wellbeing and love for all man, which occurs often, is that Satan corrupting them?

Hi folks,
I have been pondering over two wonderful "concepts" that man has ever devised - God and the Ghost. I believe man has created God and not the other way as most of us are made to believe. The concept of god has definitely contributed to mankind in many ways, as it has harmed. Ghost on the other hand, is a tool to intimidate and "entertain" (positively or negatively) people.
These are some similarities between God and the ghost:
Both are creation (imagination) of man.
Fear and ignorance are the basis of such imagination.
Both have economic angle to them. (and thus exploitation)
No one has ever conclusively proved or disproved their existence.
You never have had any direct experience with them. or do you?
Your comments and suggestions are welcome.

I would bet that I could lay the most rabid verses of the Koran next to those of the Bible and you would not be able to choose one from the other.

It's like the difference between Coke and Pepsi. Blindfolded, you'd not be able to tell them apart.

True?

What does it mean? I use it sometimes and I know it's like saying "Good Luck" but I don't where does it originate. Does it have anything to do with the crucifixion/christian cross?

Instead of crying racisim... when moderate muslims get tarred with the extremist brush why not attack them?

Like if say balcnk people decent people start getting sceen as criminals due to a large number of black teen boys following the

'respect gangster dont dis me' culture or doing muggings or fights over nothing... Often to fellow black kids to feel dominant by acting preditory... (often 6 to one little guy yeah nuff respect)

Why is it that the community does not attacks and condemn them and ostracise the scum out of the area as dirt instead of defending them as tough guys with respect?

Likewise in islam... why are there not massive protests and booting out of mosques or extreamists, sexistsm honophobics, and other repressive nasty types...

Then having non alcohol parties with kissing and gays/lesbians invited with brother helping sisters pull?

by validating their delusional philosophies? afterall, even if the fundamentalist extremists are only small in number, they draw on the large numbers of "mainstream" followers of their faith as validation. To them, moderates are simply fundamentalists who aren't pious enough to live up to the full word and deed.

Just want to ask have you had any rapture dreams or visions from the Lord? And I mean recently or if not in the past? I have, in the middle of last year the Jesus showed me a rapture vision where all the believers were looking up at the sky including my self, as there were signs in the sky that something was about to happen. The sky turned dark, and I went to get my sister to tell her to hurry up or she will miss it(she is too occupied with her new boyfriend)I cannot remember if she came with me or not, but I went back over to the same spot, and we were still looking up, and all of a sudden we were taken in the air and taken to Heaven, and in Heaven there were a lot of people, I could not count them. Then I was the king of kings in his white garmet walk over to me. I am here to tell you we do not have long to wait to go home. I cannot wait. A pastors wife had a similar vision expect she heard a voice ":Come up hither"

The most glaring example of this can be found in the British newspaper the "Daily News" 25/6/84 under the heading "Shock survey of Anglican Bishops" We read that a British television pole of 31 of the 39 Anglican Bishops in England found 19 to believe that it is not necessary for Christians to believe that Jesus (pbuh) is God, but only "His supreme agent" (his messenger)

Indeed, this was testified to by Jesus in John 17:3

"And this is life eternal, that they might know YOU the ONLY true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent."

The most common thing I am hearing is that so we can tempt our faith. However in the story of Adam and Eve, Adam was a perfect being who was easily tempted by Satan, and if he was, what chance do all of us incredibly flawed people have?

I mean look at the old testament, anyone who wasn't a believer were either ruthlessly killed or taken off to be raped. And if anyone brings up the point that the New Testament is filled with Love and Kindness, doesn't it say in the bible that God never changes his mind?

My boyfriend is English and was baptized Catholic. However that was 25 years ago and he hasn't stepped foot in church since. All of his family has been baptized, but they dont attend church and aren't even religious. They also practice premarital sex, date atheists, etc.

So why even bother getting baptized in the first place if they are basically the antithesis of Catholicism?

If there is a story about Jesus Christ bringing back a dead boy to life (or maybe it is curing a sick boy I don't know), then why didn't Jesus just do that for everyone else too at the time?
