This is a spiritual story and many things represent spiritual things...there are two trees in the midst of the garden the tree of knowledge of good and evil and the tree of life...God warned Adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and that on the day he ate of it he would surely die...consider what the tree of knowledge of good and evil represents and why eating of it would cause him to die?...Knowledge of good and evil surely would seem to be a good thing...These two trees represent things and one of the things they represent is the two natures of God. God is righteous and God is merciful...The tree of knowledge of good and evil represents God's righteousness and the law man was not righteous and could not live up to the law in this way man was sentenced to death as God is righteous and could not be joined to sin. Because of sin death came to man. Now lets consider the other tree in the midst of the garden this tree was the tree of life...this tree represents God's mercy and salvation and is represetative of the salvation afforded us through the atonement of Jesus Christ. When man sinned he brought both sin and death to the world....Now the curse he brought on himself through disobedience to God...he was taken from the Garden and then man had to work the land and women bought forth children with pain in childbirth the consequinces of sin. Which the long term consequinces are death. Remember that the answer to the problem was also in midst of the garden and this answer is Jesus Christ who taught that he is the manna from heaven and those who eat of it shall not die.

The apple literally means knowledge. It is said that Adam and Eve lived blissfully in eden, but did not have lnowledge of good or bad. When eve was tempted, she ate the apple of knowledge and became aware of things. pain is a part of this world. It is essential for learning many lessons and also for learning love and compassion

She ate a damn apple that's what the bible says and that's what she did ate an apple or banana or something quit trying to make something different out of it God don't work like that if God says it was an apple or grape then it had nothing to do with sex. What you think God made a man and woman and she had sex with a snake?

There is no "apple" in the bible. It was simply a fruit. Someone else came up with the apple in a later text that wasn't even the bible. But it basically represented knowledge.

I have heard people say it was sex, but they are wrong. If you read in Genesis 1:27-28, God tells them, "Be fruitful and increase in number." That was before they sinned, so God intended for them to multiply.
