Religion and Politics are the ultimate tools of evil. Why?
1.Religion has caused more death than any other ailment or force known to man closely followed by politics.
2. Religion is a form of politics...there's rules and people who are appointed leaders in both.
3. Religion is easily swayed and controlled by greed, lust for power and other big no no's contained in the big book of everything aka the bible.
4. Religion is often portrayed to be or confused for spirtuality. Deception, in any form, is a tool for evil.
I personally don't believe in one all powerful being for good or evil. There's no doubt that there are good and evil forces which are contstantly battling out for control in the universe kinda like "The Force". There's leaders and followers some which are more adept and powerful than others at their chosen side of the fence (good or evil).
Above all I don't believe that i need someone like a "god" to tell me how to be good or a "Devil" to tell me how to be bad. I'm a good person therefore i do good things and bad people do bad things. I make my own decisions. I choose to be good. I don't need a bible or book to tell what's right and wrong.
Any book that dictates how you should live but continually contridictes itself is in my opinion a fraud.
For instance let's take the age old saying, "Though shall not kill" which is one of the big no no's in the bible but the same book and various other proverbs contained within it was used to justify the crusades which were all about killing and getting away with it = Contridiction.
This happy concept of contridiction is why so many people choose religion. If i do a bad thing it's ok because God will forgive me for it. If this is true than God need some serious parenting skills!
Good is either in your heart or it isn't...it's that simple. It's true that good people are sometimes capable of doing bad things (no one's perfect) and vice a versa....kinda like Ying & Yang. Each contain a small portion of each other but there's also an even distinct line between them. The universe requires a balance of both. The trouble with our universe is that evil tends to outweigh the bad....well that's what the media portrays anyway.
We're so use to hearing about "Evil" that we forget about the "Good". Don't worry about what other people say...you should always follow your heart.

It depends the god of the old testement carries on like a spoiled three year old with the ultimate power of descruction. New testement god is all of a sudden a hippy. The concept of god is evil in that it is an illusion created and supported to control the masses. God has also been used to slaughter millions and condone slavery. The list goes on and on. I am agnostic but can honestly say if there actually is a god the religous folks are the ones who will need to look out for his wrath. I got no problem with god perse its his followers I despise.

Because "God's plan" encompasses everything that occurs, even the evil happenings. Christians believe everything in our lives was written before we are born. So God knew about Hitler long before he was born; God created Hitler. It goes against everything the myth of god stands for.
I recommend that you read the book God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.

There are many different viewpoints on this subject. I don't personally feel that the Bible is evil, but there are different versions of the Bible, and its up to you, to open your heart to Jesus, and let Him tell you what is right. God and Jesus are not evil. Don't listen to people who say that He is evil. They are the ones who will mislead you.
