there was a finding dubbed the nebraska man, in which started because a tooth was found, miles away a few more bones fragments were found and then with wild imagination a supposed half man half ape was constructed, this friends is how science puts these things together the lack of integrity from certain scientists to promote their false views concerning origin on everyone. Is was shortly later that it was discovered that this was a pigs tooth and the other bones were unrelated. Tell me friends where oh where is the half man half monkey, oh I know of a few that are put together in the same way this one was, but why is the ape still here today and the man and no half ape half man, if billions of years where are the billions not a few hundred half man half ape fossils besides we know how these get put together and that even today we have genetic deformities and midgets so that even in the case of an old fossil that was small its doesnt show anything new, where oh where are the billions?

Today we Catholics observe the Purification of the Blessed Virgin and the Presentation of Christ in the Temple:

"And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord; (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;) And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons." -- Luke 2:22-24

Jim Darwin changed? Laptop Jesus? So many avatars seem to have died. Did someone find them offensive? Was it a forgiving christian that caused the avatars to chage? Will the old avatars someday be resurrected? Is the hope for the return of creative avatars a strong enough foundation to start a religious movement? If so, when will you start sending me money?

I'm curious as to what others think about that story in which the Canadian government took away three of the sextuplet babies (there were six born) from their parents. The parents were Jehovah's Witnesses and would not allow blood transfusions on the babies. They did not say the babies couldn't be operated on at all or anything like that, but that blood transfusions couldn't be used during the process.

The Canadian government said that the babies would die without the transfusions, so they took them away from the parents. Did the Canadian government do the right thing, or did they violate the rights of the parents?

For the record, the Jehovah's Witnesses use various scriptures of the Bible (despite what some think, Jehovah's Witnesses are in fact Christian) to justify the no-blood transfusion idea. The main one is in Acts. I don't remember the exact chapter/verse, but it says don't take in blood. Many say this means don't eat blood, the Witnesses say it means at all.

According to Ibn Abbas, the Prophet said "Kill him who changes his religion,” “behead him,” and “Any person who has changed his religion, kill him.” (Al-Bukhari, Vol. 9, p. 45).

While you're at it, here's another one:

“Uqba mocked Muhammad in Mecca and wrote derogatory verses about him. He was captured during the Battle of Badr, and Muhammad ordered him to be executed. 'But who will look after my children, O Muhammad?' Uqba cried with anguish. 'Hell,' retorted the prophet coldly. Then the sword of one of his followers cut through Uqba’s neck.” (March 624: Uqba bin Abu Muayt)

Once you're done with the mental gymnastics required to spin these scriptures into something benevolent, perhaps you can tell me how they should be applied to the modern world.

p.s. I'm an atheist (aka, not a Jew, Christian, Buddhist, etc.), so pointing out the Crusades or some other trinket of history won't add much credence to your argument.

I'm not asking to be rude or to mock. I am sincerely asking for clarification. I've noticed that some Satanists claim not to believe in God or Satan. I am just wondering about their belief system so that I might better understand their position. Thank you for your help.

1. The "unexplained" is not evidence.

Using God as a dumping ground for everything you dont understand is only the evidence of lazy thinking and you being bias towards any other possiblities.

A. Just because scientists haven't figured out everythiing yet doesn't mean we should pass them off as being miracles. That would be nothing but assumptions, not facts.

B. So called "miracles" are not evidence. (They're never investigated)

C. "Delusions" are not evidence. Mentally ill people see things that aren't there all the time

D. The "bible" is not evidence. It's all hear say. So many contradictions. http://www.evilbible.com How many times has it been rewritten?

E. A "feeling" is not evidence. "Feelings" have mislead people

F. Faith is not evidence. Faith is a mental block that prevents people from critically examining their beliefs

This question is not directed specifically at every non-Christian; it is directly in response to a continuous debate I have see over the past two weeks, regarding us Christians "forcing" our beliefs onto American society. The fact is, we already WERE a Christian society, and thanks to the efforts of people lke Madalyn O'Hara and such, it is being removed from our society, along with morality. It doesn't take a Christian to know right from wrong, and just because many people who protest things like murdering unborn children and homosexual marriage happen to be Christian, does not mean we are forcing our beliefs. It simply means that while everyone has the right to their beliefs, (even evolutionists, who truly force their beliefs through our public education systems,) our nation should not compromise what is right simply to please those who have no concept of morality."Morality as defined by who?" As I said, it doesn't take a Christian to know right from wrong.Who are the real hypocrites?

This is an answer from a fundie:
"Because evolution doesn't make sense. How did we evolve from monkeys?! And if we did, then why are there still "unevolved" monkeys. My science teacher didn't even beleive in evolution. She went church and was a Christian. Oh well. No use in trying to reason. We will know the truth in the end.♥ "

How is America supposed to compete in a future global marketplace when our youth are this ignorant?
