Fulfill your obligations as a Muslim: pray 5 times a day, fast in Ramadan, give Zakat, and perform Hajj at least once if you can.
Aside from that Zikr is highly valued by Allah and doesn't take much effort on your part. Doing Zikr will cleanse your heart and instill taqwa in it so you will be aware at all times that Allah knows what you are thinking and doing so all your other actions will be according to Islam and done solely for Allah.

Serve the persons who Allah made into HIs image and belive that the Virgin Mary is the mother of Allah in the flesh, Jesus.

Your intentions are always judge so do the best as a muslim. Do the obligatory prayers 5x a day, do zakat (charity), fasting during Ramadan, perform hajj at least ones in your lifetime if you can.

You will my muslim friend first of all get very nasty answers from many fundamentalists. You pray, give alms, fast and go for Hajj and treat other human beings equally and you will become a better person

Throw off the fear of recrimination from the radical fundamentalists that many peaceful Muslims have and speak out against those who are perverting your religion for their own evil purposes.
