It's in the nature of the Koran. The boys are taught to memorise it from a young age. Basically a form of brainwashing and not at all like any Christian sect or other religion. It is forbidden in Islam to even think about questioning the authority of the Koran; you're apostate if you do this and in some States you can be killed for having doubts about Islam. Therefore it's not in a man's best interest to think for himself - Islam is not about free-thought - Islam is about submission and this is what Islam means 'to submit'.
I cannot comment on the terrorist part of your question - the world has always been full of terrorists of every kind.

Thats true with every religeon.
Im Muslim I don't think that everyone should die. Your thinking of a very small minority. There are what 200,000 Muslim terrorists in the world and there are 1.2 billion. You do the math.
What about Hispasnic terrorists running around America and things. Every races has militia groups. That doesn't mean that the people support them.

It's why the world is so full of ignorant religious people who have beliefs based on myth and superstition for which there is no evidence of any kind, yet they still act as if they're absolute truth.
ALL religions do the exact same thing..."Anyone who wants to be a christian should tear out the eyes of his reason." (Martin Luther)
Thinking for yourself leads to questioning dogma, and no religion likes that...because all religions are full of contradictions, lies, and complete nonsense that any thinking person sees right through.
All religions have an equation: thinking=bad, blind faith=good and they constantly reinforce that.

10years or so ago the UK terrorists were Catholics and Protestants.10 years or so ago all Blacks were terrorists in South Africa.
Maybe if the west had more respect towards the poor then maybe there would be more balance in the world and less resentment.
I will say this though "If people aren't happy in the place they live, then,GET OUT....leave....Go home go live with your extremist brothers!!!!!

All religions have this problem. Christianity, Judaism, etc. Faith is purported to be a virtue which creates in children the feeling that seeking evidence/information is not right. It's not just a Muslim problem.

I think that anyone brought up in a background of religious extremism (be it islam, christianity, new age cults etc) will not be able to think for themselves.

Terror is your imperialist country's toy. Islam has nothing to do with it. Btw why do you call some terrorists "freedom fighters" and some just "terrorists"? Noone wants to be the next victim (after Africa) of European and later American imperialism.

the very nature of islam is complete submission to god. the problem with that is in the interpretation of "his" will. like most religious people, they listen to people whom they think know the will of god, which is completly impossible. and like most cases, the people who claim to know the will of god are often corrupt and greedy, and use their "power" to manipulate the faithful. so its not just muslims who cant think for themselves.
