I pissed on the wall of the vatican for protecting pedophile priests. This of course was paid for by the 2.1 million I was awarded in court in Seattle from the archdiocese. The Church needs to be shut down for hiding perverts and rapists!!

Given that even Jews and atheists have been known to visit Vatican City without difficulty, I doubt excommunication would be a bar. Saint Peter's is a popular tourist destination regardless of denomination or status. You are only prohibited from receiving Sacraments. Depending on what you were excommunicated for, many Protestant churches might still be willing to include you in their services.

Look at section V. in this article: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/05678a.htm

The long and short of it: "They [the effects] are summed up in the two well known verses:

Res sacræ, ritus, communio, crypta, potestas,
prædia sacra, forum, civilia jura vetantur,

i.e. loss of the sacraments, public services and prayers of the Church, ecclesiastical burial, jurisdiction, benefices, canonical rights, and social intercourse. " (from the above article)

I haven't seen anything about not entering Vatican City; that's probably an urban legend.
