Me & My Fiance are both Christian (Pentecostal)-- We are getting married Feb 10th. My family are not Christian ..His is!!...I am having a DJ at my wedding and I picked out all the songs that we both enjoy( Me & My fiance)..his family does not believe this is right but I dont see anything wrong with some good music..oldies..electric slide...all those type..I like getting Jiggy with it!--- as long as it is not in no kind of sexual undertone rude manner..(there will be kids there)& plus thats just not my thing! WHY is it that his family has such issues!! with this music situation..Those are not my convictions! or my Fiance!...if they would like they dont have to stick around for the party..if they feel strongly about it... Isnt it our day!! and a reminder I will be playing Christian music too....arent we suppose to be of example... we arent suppose to look down on people of other faiths.......

I believe in God and know people say he is omnipotent. I do not believe this any more. Does not the Bible say that God could never sin, which would destroy the religion. So by not being able to sin does that not destroy the truth of omnipotence?

Why was I born? What happens when I die? How do I get to Heaven? Why do bad things happen to good people?

What makes the soul? How does it get into an embryo? Does it exist before the sperm or egg does?

Unfortunately, most of today's Christians are not taught a good history of Israel, from the time of Abraham, to the time of Christ. They mostly don't know that the Arabs and Israelites have a shared ancestry, and that the Jews gained forgiveness of their sins through the sacrifice done by the High Priests in the Temple.

It is unfortunate, as there is a lot to learn from the ancient Jews that apply to our lives today, and though I recognize you do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah, Christians really need to understand why he was considered the Lamb of God, and this can only be done by learning about the sacrifice of the lamb in the Temple.

I would hazard a guess that with the exception of JW children, most Christian children could not even draw a diagram of the ancient Temple grounds.

Would it be okay to admit that I imagine God, but that by doing so I can reason through the logical necessity imposed upon a perfect being in control of the universe and all life? And if this is acceptable, and actually possible, is that enough to merit the conclusion that that conception is a possibility of perfection?

In other words, if I could imagine God existing and more importantly reason why and how he could exist, would it be scientifically noteworthy to state that my theory of God might actually point to a reality that does exist?

She is American married to a Pakistani male for 5 years now. She was married around the same time I was but I divorced. Now it seems she's going through something like what I went through. She also has two children like me. Her relationship with her husband has been deteriorating for some time now, and a few days ago she told me that he said he wants to go alone to Pakistan. His brother takes his three children and wife every year and they both make the same amount of money. He told her if she wants to go, she should pay her way. From experience, when a Pakistani man wants to go alone while married in the US (I've seen it happen a few times now but never to me, I'd kill him first), they are going there to marry a girl about 16-24. They then come back and divorce their wives. She told him if he did go that she would file for divorce and take both children, full custody. He said he didn't care. She said it a day later. He said he didn't care. He plans to go in June.

Ok this question is based on a few assumptions so bear with me.
God is supposedly omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent.
The bible is the word of god therefore would fall into the same criteria.
So then when we read the ten commandments for example and it says, "Thou shalt not kill." (Please note the period meaning end of sentence) It is saying not killing is a perfect law and cannot be violated. God being a perfect creature could not violate a perfect law because to do so would mean he was imperfect. But flipping thru the bible one finds many examples of god killing and telling his followers to kill. The destruction of Ai in the old testament is nearly the deffinition of genocide. So then I guess my question is if god is perfect then the words he utters would be perfect therefore wouldnt breaking his own word render him imperfect and nullify his perfection? Lord that was a mouthful. Forgive me if it is nonsense. I see it in my head just cant seem to get it out rigt though.

Who in their right mind would support an anti-usa institution like this? Some examples:

Brought a lawsuit against a city (Mount Soledad) for displaying a cross....which has been there for about 40 years.

Tries every year with their threats to squelch students at graduation time from mentioning the name of Jesus in a speech.

Sues bible clubs for having bible studies in public forums when those same forums are used by other groups as well.

Is in favor of defending someone's right to protest at a military funeral.

Seeks to destroy anything religious (especially christianity) in a public place when we all know that this nation was founded by christian puritans in search of freedom from oppression.

This organization is run by satan himself. Can anyone honestly say thatthe aclu represents "civil liberties" for them?

I was totally shocked when I saw that story on Nightline. It took about 5 minutes of air time and told about a Wet site called Blashpemy Challange. These are a group of atheist who are putting ads on teen web sites to encourage the youth not be let themselve be fooled by the teachings of the Bible and that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit do not exist and are encouraging people to join them in DENOUNCING their existance.

The media that interviewed this guy who runs it certainly looked appauled by the way they think. Especially drawing in youth and indoctornating them into blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.

What do you think? I would like to hear arguments from all sides although be realistic and not sarcastic please.
