Actually logically speaking I understand the peace that many religions preach, however, I just don't understand the subjegation, oppression, or the plain prejudice to women in these religions. Will someone offer an explanation to clear things up?

Does one need to be licensed to do one or both? What are the requirements for someone to be able to call themselves a "minister" or a "reverend"? If licenses are requried, who issues them?

I'm tired of mainstream folk. They are close-minded. They are the majority. They are fearful. They are deceptive. They are manipulative. Their strength is in their numbers and nothing more.
Mainstream society is a disease on human civillization. Don't get sucked in. Live outside the box. Think for yourself. Don't be fed intellectual bullcrap.

"Mainstream media, and society are an immense system of robots creating more robots." ---Truthseeker

"Mainstream folk are all alike. They are drones. The media is God to them. CNN is the gospel truth. Any new ideas or concepts are considered myths and anti-society. All symptons of brainwashing. " ---Psychology Major

"Smoking wasn't bad until the goverment through the media told people it was 10 years ago. Mainstream society is scary, indeed." ---Political adviser.

at five i was molested, later in life my parents faught constantly and my dad was later diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder, which explains why he was always a bit off and i never realy had a real male role model or father. later he became an alcoholic and my mom divorced him and i dont ever talk to him or see him so i cut him off and have no father in my life. after the divorce i ended up with a panic disorder and clinical depression which i later beat and overcame. but recently my best friend of 11 years is very involved with drugs

i now am over everything but of course there will always be scars. but i am very into philosophy, quantom mechanics, im compassionate and caring. i also am spiritual but VERY far from any type of organized religeon. and i realy cant relate to other teens and only like adults. however i do have other teen friends.

Who made it?

Does it just 'exist' without someone to present it as an idea?

Are you idolizing logic and reasoning as Gods?

It's really starting to sound like it.

why do they say babies are little gifts from god?

wouldnt that mean that god gives gifts to unwed teenagers who have 1 night stands or arent even together. he gives gifts to people who dont want it. and yet u hear about all these couples who desperately want a child, and have faith in god, but one of them is sterile.

i dont get it, why is god giving gifts to people he deem immoral and sinful, but people who follow him dont necessarily get this gift.

In response to this question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ar2gCBit.sRD40cxDwKWzeHd7BR.?qid=20070131112700AAkhiLU

The following response, and a couple of others like it, was given:

God NEVER causes suffering.
"If he allows the suffering its because he withdraws his protection, but he never does it himself. "

Is withdrawing protection from suffering not tantamount to causing suffering? In other words, is it ok for a god to allow suffering, when he could have prevented it? Is there no contributory negligence here?

if christians had to seek forgiviness anyway , then what was the death of Jesus exactly for?

and if you are saying that christians asking for forgiviness just "to be nice, but don't really have to" then you can do any crime you wish to do and still be forgiving since Jesus die to erase your sins. Are good people equal to bad people?

"Uh oh... let's see how many people you get to scream "WRONG" at today!"

Christianity has become tinted with some Negativity, such as racist using it as a weapon to oppress or those calling themselves Christians but acting the opposite. this has made me quite skeptical of Christianity is there a way of believing and following the teachings of Christ without having to be called a Christian?

Consider this from their "Great Queers of History" line-up; "Marlene Dietrich (1901-1992) German-American actress Cabaret performer in Nazi Berlin, sang lesbian songs, famous role in film The Blue Angel (1930), then became a Hollywood goddess whose roles emphasized sexual ambiguity. BISEXUAL glamour offstage, POPULARIZED WOMEN'S TROUSERS."

Does your outlook on life determine how you define 'proof' or 'lack of proof'?

Example:

Christian sees a newborn baby:

"What a wonderful gift from God!"

Atheist sees a newborn baby:

"It keeps the breeding process moving along.."

I respectly argue and think with me.

-are you telling me that my God came from birth from a human being with blood all over him, crying and was too weak?

-my God was too weak that his mother was taking care of him, feeding him, dress him up, teach him how to walk, play with him?

- my God went to the bathroom? (God forbidean)

- my God was hiding from the jewish, from the people he creates?

- my God was tortured and killed by the people he creates?

that cannot be my God, but my God is the one who sent him, and sent Abraham, Moses, David, Issac, the one who create adam and eve. this is my God alone.
