since christians believe that jesus is god's son, doesn't that mean they believe in more than one god? why do they say they believe in one god then?

* They will not admit it but yes they do. They will say there is one God. But what they mean is one Godhead with three seperate and distinct personalities. You will see examples of the egg, the yolk and the shell theree seperate parts of the egg, or one I used to use when I was still a Christian preacher is it is like the apple, you have the peel, the meat of the apple and the core, three distinct parts but all apple.

What these explainations do not explain is how these three can be seperate beings but one. One example you were given is one man said he is body, soul and spirit, but that explains nothing, it is not his fault, he is just spouting what he has been taught, with no free thought of his own.

Some claim it is like a family, the husband and father, the wife and mother and the children however many there may be. seperate people, but one according to God. A marriage is 2 people, but they are one according to God. A church may consist of 100 members, but it is one body. The universal church is made up of many hundreds of thousands of people, but it is one body with God.

I know this makes no sense, but those are the examples you will recieve, but in reality, there are three Gods, God the Father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit, even those who will argue that there is only one will say these exact same words, so there are actually 3 Gods in the Christian God head. I used to sit in church when a real shcolar would be preaching and he would say, that the word in the greek and hebrew for Holy Spirit is feminie, but he would then say that does not mean the Holy Spirit is a Goddess.

Why not? If it is feminine in the original language it makes perfect sense to me to claim God the father, Goddess, the mother, Holy Spirit and God the Son Jesus. This is heracy according to Christian doctrine, but isn't this possible? I know people will say the holy spirit is male because it was the holy spirit that got Mary pregnant. But still how do you explain the feminine in the original languages. Okay, I know I am not a shcolar and the many scholars I have heard from various denominations that agree on this could be lieing. but Why?

I am sorry I know this does not eplain anything, but I think it does show the falicy of the belief that there is one God, but it has three personalities. *

Blessed Be!

God in three persons yet as one. God defines the three persons of Himself in the Holy Bible as God the Father which is omnipresent and is Spirit; as God the Son Jesus which is the physical manifestation of God and God the Holy Spirit which is the indwelling presence in all who have accepted the path to God established by God.

Since God is an infinite being with no sides top or bottom and we are a created and finite physical being with a God breathed spirit this structure that God gives us of Himself assists us in our finite ability to comprehend the infinite and unfathomable. For example, if you travel for a thousand years in one direction you are no closer to the end of infinity than when you began. Does this make sense to you?

Nope. All are God. It is a difficult concept there are some analogies, but no real good explanation. It is hard for our minds to comprehend. Just like how could a merciful God also be just, and how could someone be 100% God and 100% man. One explanation that I like is the one about water. Ice, steam, and liquid are all water. Jesus Father Holy Spirit are all God. Not gods, but all One God. Blows your mind doesn't it?

It's called the Holy Trinity. They say they have one god, but it's really three. Father, Son, Holy Spirit, three different entities which are supposed to reside in one deity. It'd be like saying Zeus, Hera, and Hercules are just conjoined triplets

Again I ask, Are you JW or Mormon? We believe in one God. A triune God. If you have an egg and break it into 3 parts, shell, yolk and white. Is it still not considered part of the original whole egg?

Stacey B you said: "We believe in one God. A triune God. If you have an egg and break it into 3 parts, shell, yolk and white. Is it still not considered part of the original whole egg?"

A yolk is part of a egg, but is not an egg. So you are saying Jesus is part of god, but is not fully god. I think your pastor would disagree.

Jesus was NOT created; in fact, the bible says He created a body for Himself; it also says He was with God in the beginning and was God (John 1:1-3) also that He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end (Rev. 1).
Islam is not the truth; beating one's wife and 'killing the infidels' (those who do not follow Islam) is wrong.
'Elohim'; or God, is plural; Three distinct jobs in one 'Godhead'. But just take my word; read it for yourself in the bible. There will be a test one day soon.
