Josephus, a Jewish historian, mentioned Jesus in his writings toward the end of the first century C.E., roughly 60 years after Jesus' death.
As a non-Christian, Josephus would have no reason to accept the historical reality of Jesus unless there was some sound basis for it.
In one of his works, Josephus discusses disturbances that were caused by the Jews during the time Pontius Pilate was governor of the region of Judea (26-36 C.E,) The disturbance centered around a man named Jesuss and his followers, Josephus identifies Jesus as "a wise man....a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of men who received the truth with pleasure," and he notes that Jesus was later condemned by Pilate to crucifixion. While this mention of Jesu does not suggest that Josephus himself accepted Jesus or the claim made about Jesus by his followers, it does seem clear that Josephus recognized Jesus to be a historical person who had a profound impact on the people he encountered.

Read also about Tacitus, a Roman historian.....Pliny the Younger another Roman source and Suetonius a Roman historian and lawyer.
All these writers prove the historical existence of Jesus......rather than biblical sources.

I hate this question for the plain fact that it's absolutely stupid! Fictional or not, it is clearly stated in every single piece of literature that mentions him, that Jesus was a man and the SON of God! He's a dude! Get over it!

Jesus was born as a son....and became a grown adult...a man. He was also born into a Jewish family....had a Jewish mother, and God was His Father...He was both human and God as well. He was foretold years and years ahead of time to come to save the world from sin...to die in their place...He was God's provision ...a gift for everyone who would believe. John 3:16.

I always have found it interesting too that God chose a poor Jewish family to raise him....not a rich powerful one.

It's like if you a human wanted to "speak" to an ant...how would you do it? the only way would be to become an ant....simple but true example of God coming to earth to communicate His plan for mankind.....He sent His Son to "become" a man....for us.

Like many correct answers before mine, Jesus is a man. and was a man. His story was too widespread to be a conspiracy. Compare that with the Watergate conspiracy...no one was willing to hang for the crime...Millions have died for the truth of Jesus!

Please stop being blasphemous, people. Jesus is a man, The Son Of God, formed in His own image. God is male as well, He formed a human in His own image (Genesis) and made woman out of man's rib. Called woman because she was made from man.

God Bless You.

Jesus was a man . Matt. 2:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a SON, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.
