Thats what I'm saying. How do you know that he is the son of God. Couldn't he be like David Koresh? Remember that guy. Especially knowing how radical those people are over there, it could very well have happend that way. The Romans were just trying to put down a cult and ended up creating a marytar.

what do you mean "IF"? he wasnt the son of god. the jews and the muslims know this, which is probly why you Catholics and all your f**ked up spin-offs hate them so much. Jesus was the bastard (born out of wedlock) son of Joseph. he and mary wed because of it. that being said, if i could get my hands on the ACTUAL teachings of Jesus, not the bullshite the church decided to tell you, then maybe i would follow those. do i believe that Jesus was a prophet? yes. as well as Muhammad. for all we know, they are the same person. at least we have absolute proof that Muhammad lived in the time period the Koran was written. back to topic, Jesus' teachings were very simple and even us non-christians follow alot of them. but then again, how do we know that the words "spoken by Christ" in the bible were actually spoken by him?

Jesus was not the son of God. He was just another in a long line of supposed virgin births.

According to the gnostic gospels Jesus was not about salvation at all. Jesus spoke of enlightenment. The second coming was not an apocalyptic event it was about knowledge.

Yes. The wisdom of Jesus can stand alone. In fact, the major problem among Christians is that they would rather believe what Paul or Peter said about Jesus, than what Jesus taught, and on this subject, said about himself. (Jesus was very proud that he was the "son of man" he declared himself as that about a jillion times. -

Damn good question. I'd been wanting to ask it for a while.

I hope many of them say yes though since they choose to ignore his moral teachings in favour of the supernatural myth stories so much already, maybe its too much to hope.

This isn't possible, because there is no way anyone but God's son could of taught these teachings.
