Would it be okay to admit that I imagine God, but that by doing so I can reason through the logical necessity imposed upon a perfect being in control of the universe and all life? And if this is acceptable, and actually possible, is that enough to merit the conclusion that that conception is a possibility of perfection?

In other words, if I could imagine God existing and more importantly reason why and how he could exist, would it be scientifically noteworthy to state that my theory of God might actually point to a reality that does exist?

No. Go repeatedly states Who He Is as a direct contrast to what others imagine. Genesis 6:5 and 8:21 note that both before and after the flood, "the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth." God doesn't want you worshiping the evil that is your imagination but the reality that is God. Go to His word (the Bible) to find out who He REALLY is.

Well, the fact that you can imagining god is not a good argument for his existence.

I can imagine fairies, unicorns, dragons and the flying spaghetti monster, but that doesn’t make them it scientifically noteworthy to state that the theory of them might actually point to a reality of their existence.

Understand?

What??????? I read this three times and still uncertain of the point you are trying to make. Yes conception is a most beautiful thing but still don't get your point.

AND IZUMI- where do you get the idea that you will go to hell? It says this no where in biblical scipture. Unfortunaltely you are basing this on opinion only- yours or that of another.
AND TRAVIS- i will dare you to read my starred answer (then click view by date) to question "how did God made hes son?"-

When God is real to you, you don't have to imagine, just believe in Him. Read the Holy Bible.

There is also something called vain imaginations. Imagining false gods, etc.

Sounds like you've been reading St. Anselm. If not, look him up. And keep in mind that philosophers have smashed this so-called ontological argument long ago. It is still an attractive idea, though.

We were made to his image. This means he has eyes, mouth, etc. However, we cannot worship idols made of any material.
