Jesus says this in Luke 13:1-5 "About this time he was informed that Pilate had butchered some Jews from Galilee as they were sacrificing at the Temple in Jesusalem. 'Do you think they wee worse sinners than other men from Galilee?' he asked. 'Is that why they suffered? Not at all! And don't you realize that you also will perish unless you leave your evil ways and turn to God?'" And what about the 18 men who died when the Tower of Siloam fell on them? Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? Not at all! And you, too, will perish unless you repent.'"

Can't you see the message? We don't even know if we will live another second let alone another year. And Jesus says that unles s we repent, we also will perish.

The question is "Will you repent (turn from your sins) and trust Jesus to save you from perishing?

I see that Muslims are obligated to pay 2.5% of their net income to the poor and needy. What a noble cause! How wonderful.

I am wondering, who collects the money? Do Musilms go find a poor person and give 2.5% of their money to them, or do they give the money to a trusted source who distributes the money appropriately?

I was told by a Muslim "Mosques are maintained by a special government department"

Does this mean Mosques are supported by the taxes in Islamic countries? Here in USA, the religious institutions are not funded by the government. I am wondering where mosques get their funding in countries where government taxes are not used to pay for Islam.

We all want this; we all want to be happy. What is it that each of us can do to create happiness around us? I don’t believe that single person can do nothing; I don’t think that’s true. We are all interconnected; nobody is really “single” in this world. Nobody is separated from the rest; it may feel that way, but that’s a different story. We all affect each other. Denying it doesn’t change the fact that we are interdependent. So what do we do?
What is it that each of us can do today to make this happen; to make this dream/fantasy come finally true?

Many of you do think that you control your own destiny. But how about those who died in the world trade center. Do you think they would've answered my question just like you did on Sept 10th ? Think about it.

And said, in a miracle of all miracles he had just spoken with God. Would you or could you doubt him? Lets say God spoke to him while in deep prayer and said the world would end in 7 days. What would your reaction be? Would you call the Pope crazy? What kind of proof would the Pope have to come up with and what if he had no physical proof?

I asked before, "What if someone grew up on an island and never heard of Jesus or the Bible? Will they still be trapped in Hell even though they were never given a chance?" Lots of people said they will go to Heaven. A couple people referred to Psalm 37 where it says they will inherit the Earth. I think both outcomes are awesome! But, they said if they learn about Jesus and still reject him, they're going to Hell.

So....

Scenario 1: A man never learns of Jesus or the bible. He dies and either goes to Heaven, or inherits the earth and enjoys the abundance of peace. The outcome is pretty good.

Scenario 2: A man learns who Jesus is from a missionary. Now his options are to either go to Heaven, or go to Hell.

Those missionaries are setting people up for an eternity of suffering according to their beliefs. Before learning of Jesus, that man had a chance for eternal peace, and now he has a chance of eternal suffering. How is that helping the world?

I'm a Pagan, btw.
