They went to work that day.
The planes flew into the buildings that day.
Just because they didn't know what was going to happen, didn't change the fact that they chose to go to work. The people that chose to call off sick, lived.
The other posted said it correctly, you choose for yourself, and others. But you cannot choose what others choose for you.
You say think about it. However;
Some of the people that died jumped, rather than burn.
Most of the people that could evacuate, did.
Some of the people that were trapped, chose to burn, rather than jump.
Many firefighters, seeing the flames of this huge building on fire, went inside, to try to save others.
Many dramatic life, and death choices were made that day.
But, some days, the situations that people find themselves in are very difficult, and sometimes they are outnumbered, or overwhelmed by forces that others have initiated.
It's not as simple as you are trying to make it.

Are you trying to credit God with blowing up the World Trade Center? That's pretty mean; some would even call it blasphemous. I say men did it, men in control of their own destiny.

I'm enjoying the progression of your narrative and particularly interested in where the conspiracy will take this story. This is very enjoyable, although some of the language that sends us to the glossary may not be strictly necessary, it does give a sense of the time you are writing about. Well done. Thank you.

But you are setting up a false bifurcation if you are saying that failure to control one's destiny, as expressed through one dying, is evidence of predestination. One does control one's own destiny to the degree that one has self determination. This self determination, however, is of necessity exercized within the Universe.
It is nonsensical to claim that man is not master of his destiny because he eventually dies.

Only God knows what our "destiny' is. We do not control what Satan tells the weak of mind to do.

You control what you do to other people.
Not what other people do to you.
So destiny is a complex matter.
And you shouldnt dwell on it so much cause your brain will fry itself under the pressure.

Yes you control your choices, no you don't control the choices of others. Every choice has an eternal consequence. Use your choices wisely

You are right. we cannot control our future.
But we can definitely plan it and try to make it happen.
Man would never have reached moon had he not planned it long before.
