Most liberals in this country are Christians. Jesus preached love toward one's neighbor, pacifism, nonjudgement. He hung out with whores and thieves. I think your real question would be "Why are neo-cons so adverse to the teachings of Jesus Christ?"

That's a loaded question. First of all, how would you define liberal? Secondly, "liberals" would not necessarily say they are adverse to the teachings of Jesus. They (whoever these liberals are) could say that they are really on the side of Jesus.

Why are conservatives so convinced that all liberals are drug using, satan worshiping trouble makers? I am a lberal. However I am extremely well behaved and I grew up in a church going family. I believe in what Jesus was teaching I just think it has been twisted by thousands of years of people interpreting the Bible only as it applies to them. And as stated in previous answers Jesus was a liberal.

Please stop making absolute statements. Not ALL liberals are adverse to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Just as not ALL Christians are hypocrites, but some definitely are.

I think you are categorizing all liberals into a lump that they do not belong in. You are have an incorrect stereotype.

I know several liberals who are not only follow Jesus Christ, but who are proffessors in Christians colleges, and ministers and pastors, and teachers in Churches all across America.

You can be a liberal and be a Christian!!

You can be a conservative and be a Christian.

God is not a Republican nor a Democrat.

First of all, where is your evidence to support such an outrageous claim? Second, the vast majority of "Liberals" are God-fearing, Jesus-loving, Bible-reading Christians. Your supposition is unfounded and purely speculative. And one more thing: I'm a devout, practicing Christian and I know dozens of Liberals who walk with Jesus. Better get back to the drawing board.

They are not , just your mixed up version of the teachings of Jesus Christ. the most important thing Jesus taught was to treat people the way you would like to be treated, thats how Liberals feel.

we could see, Jesus's teachings as i comprehend them: - people ought to marry their soulmates and not in any respect stray. - Scribes fill the bible with lies - Pharasees enforce the words of the e book without the spirit of the regulations. - some people do no longer must be married, this would not cause them to evil. - end picking on people - concentration on self progression first and maximum appropriate. - people will say they are 'In Christ' while they have no longer something to do with him. Oh, and Paul isn't Jesus. easily, by skill of pink letter standards, liberals are not truly that undesirable off.

I would consider Jesus to have been a "liberal" during his lifetime. Also, maybe your perception of liberals is skewed because you are confusing agreeing with YOUR version of Jesus' teachings with belief in Jesus Christ.

God doesn't exist man. Nor does 'ala' or buddha or any of those other MYTHICAL beings. Sure Jesus existed but he was just a carpenter, a philosophor, and a magician. NOT A GOD!!!

The more you learn about world religions, the more you will realize that religion is used to fill in the blanks for people. Religion helps people explain things they do not understand and to deal with death.

Liberals are people who like to move forward and are not affraid of caring. It has nothing to do with religion!
