Why did "God" punish Adam and Eve (and all of us actually) for disobeying before they even knew what disobeying was? That doesn't make any sense.

And seriously....no stupid answers, because theists are KNOWN for their lame excuses.

1)Life is full of misery, suffering and pain. I suffered a lot myself, but still see my suffering incomparable to the suffering of many people in the world.
So what is the purpose of life according to your religion? And what did Christianity or Islam do to improve the lives of people?
2)Don't you think that life is unfair to many people. For example, there are so many people in the world whose income is 1 or 2 dollars a day! Why wicked and sinful people like Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie, and Donald Trump are very rich, while so many
true christians and true muslims live in misery?
I have been under severe stress for the last 3.5 years because of studies, and exams. Also, the girl that I loved left me to another (maybe richer) guy. Why do I have to work very hard to succeed while Paris Hilton was already born rich? Is this fair? Why God gives some people everything and deprive others from everything?
Why some people have to suffer while others enjoy their lives?

Qadafy recently gave a lecture where he restated this mainstream view of the Islamic world. http://youtube.com/watch?v=8bs909HtOwQ

Quotes:

"some people believe Muhammad is the prophet for arab or muslims alone...this is a mistake"

"muhammad is the prophet for all people"

"all people MUST BE MUSLIMS"

What naive westerners dont understand is, the Islamic world is so different, that ALL assumptions about humanity or "basic goodness" or "badness" must be discared in order to understand the root cause of the worldwide conflict.

An American might say "look, Christians believe that no one can be saved but through Christ, isnt that the same?"

Answer: Yes and No. The key distinction always boils down to free choice. Christianty is a false religion, like all of the rest, but Christianty emphasizes the choice. In other words, you must chose, and thus you have a choice. Its the very choice that is the test in itself!

Islam says YOU ALREADY SERVE MUHAMMAD. NOW OBEY!

I am a Christian been all my life. I am 23 years old and still a virgin. I have believed in true love waits all my life. I began to search in the bible the only records of waiting till married are not there for christians. It says 1co 6:12-20 about "fornication" and "Sexual Immorality" It only talks about not haveing sex with a Prostitute. the word "Fornication" is from the latin word "fornix" which back in the 1300s meant a vault where prositutes hung out to get their clients. Everything I have researched has either been a social stanards for men making sure their young wife is untouched or not having wild sex with multiple partners. I am confused, I believe when you have sex with the one you love you are married to him when you have sex with him. The cermoney that takes place in the church is for the people, the marriage takes place in the bedroom. I see no problems with having sex with the person you will marry.

What are ya'lls veiw on this, I could write more but I amoutofspace

In some mystery religions of the past, there was a chief god which was the equivalent of the God of the monotheists and the other gods were what became the Angels that many today believe in. A most important of these gods was Mitras, the Sun God. Mitraism was the main religion of the Roman Empire before Christianity became the established religion of Rome.

There are many parallels between the life of Mitras and Jesus. Mitras was born on December 25 and had twelve disciples. He had a last supper before being crucified and resurrected. Ultimately he rose to heaven on a cloud. Given that Tarsus, the birthplace of Saul who later changed his name to Paul, was a center of Mitraism and that December 25, was chosen as the birth of Jesus many biblical scholars believe that some of the more mythological aspects of the New testament may be derived from the myth of Mitras and Mitraism.
Sure sounds like it to me. Those with blind faith need not reply.

Do you agree that the Freedom of Religion lets you be free to worship any faith you choose? To be able to live your life in any religion you choose without the fear of harassment, violence, or discrimination from others? To be free from listening to some person on a soapbox shout things like "It's my way or the highway," "Follow this faith or be hated," and "You're religion isn't allowed."? That the Freedom of Religion also grants you the Freedom FROM Religion, meaning you have the right to choose what you want, or do not want to believe, without having some person in a suit telling you that you're wrong? That this grants you to be free from having religion forced upon you? Do you agree that the Freedom of Religion means you can be Pagan, Atheist, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, or anything you choose without being persecuted for those beliefs? Anyways, wasn't this country founded by people fleeing religious persecution? So why do so many people practice it?

...or would it just show that God really is everywhere?
I watched a movie called "Contact" the other day, starring Jodie Foster.
In the movie, the character she played had entered a competition to be the first human to make contact with alien life. She lost the competition at the last minute when she admitted to the world that she did not believe in God.

Why would that matter?

I know this is technically three questions but that part of the film still baffles me.
