Rom 3 8:3

Paul asserts that Jesus was made "in the likeness of sinful flesh" but he does not assert that Jesus is human flesh. Yet the Bible speaks repeatedly of Jesus being incarnated in human flesh, that is, of being human, not just like human.

Tell me your thoughts.

He told my mom to pray for CIndy Crawford by name, my mom didn't even know who Cindy was. He's told me to pray for Nicole Kidman (just got a reminder on that, she was in a wreck today), an actress I've had zero interest in and I've only seen 2 of her movies. He also has me praying for heaing and reconciliation in Srebrenica. I had an idea of what happened there, but I never thought to pray for the survivors until he told me to. How about you?

Feel flexible, light and brief. No one needs to know how commited is anyone for his religion.

As for me, already a converted Muslim, and with this IF, I'd choose Judaism.

Disbelief has various negative impacts upon human beings and societies alike. In a society far removed from religion, the basic characteristics of its members are injustice, selfishness and untrustworthiness. This inevitably is the nature of disbelieving societies. Only the values of religion assure moral perfection for societies and individuals. Those having faith in God (Allah) and the hereafter conduct themselves responsibly, since they only live to attain the approval of God. Fearing God, they cautiously avoid wicked deeds, attitudes and behaviour not praised by God. A society dominated by such people becomes one that does not experience social problems.
However, a disbelieving person, failing to recognise that he will ultimately be rewarded or punished for his deeds, does not observe the limits of God. Disregarding the Day of Judgement, he simply does not see any necessity to curb his wickedness.

SIN does not have the same value there are 7 that is an abomination to the Lord and will send you straight to hell if one does not repent.

Proverbs 6:16-19

16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. (KJV)

This list of abominations is not a complete list. There are many more things that are abominable to the Lord even in the book of Proverbs.

The word hate should be taken as to reject from one’s fellowship. It is the desire to have no contact or relationship with another. [Spiros Zodhiates, The Hebrew-Greek Key Study Bible, p. 1671]

It is interesting to note that the first five all have reference to body parts. The proud look could also be interpreted as proud eyes. Then there’s the lying

I am in an astronomy course this semester, and it has made me question my religion and faith. I am of protestant upbringing and a converted catholic. In class we were shown a program to where you could see into different galaxies and how big the earth actually is compared to other planets, galaxies and stars. That got me thinking, Logically there has to be life on other planets(similar to humans if not the same) that would be arrogant to say that there isn't because we're all just a tiny speck in the universe. So assuming there are other humans or aliens, surely they do not follow the same religions that we do (any of them, not just one). Could Christ(even though he was a real person) be just that? How would it be possible for our earthly principles to apply to other intelligent life forms in other galaxies. it just doesn't make sense. I realize that some are going to call me crazy and sinful and a blashpemer, but my religion is flawed, I don't know what to believe. Whats your opinion?

So don't give me the BS about I am not to take it littrally, the bible say 2 of every animal so how did he fit all of the billions of different animals on the ark from the littlest bugs, Asian tigers, Australian Kangaroos, Polar bears?

Is there any reason that questioners and respondents cannot give their opinion and use "I feel" or "I think" statements instead of absolutes?

Have you considered how much better people might respond to...."My viewpoint is there is no God?" or "I truly believe God does exist"?

Obviously we represent a large variety of different world beliefs and positions regarding spirituality and no one expects everyone to agree...just be decent.
