If I use the same logic that christians use to believe in god, that means Santa is real too and I should believe in him? His story is as believable as the bible is.

Once I had a church deacon come to my house and help my grandmother fix our car. He started talking and said that the Bible mentions UFOs. Do ya'll know anything about this?

And does it say anything about dinosaurs??

Just curiousity.

I've heard people say ID cards, RFID chips, etc, are potential candidates - it seems irrational to me to have a government ID so easily linked to proof you are a servant of the devil in some people's minds.

Then again, maybe I take that back... I could see it if you don't like your government... :D

I hope people realize that God is just.
"12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." I'm glad I found this way that doesn't just seem right, it IS right!! Jesus is the way! I think atheists must be bad drivers too! I mean you put up a huge billboard for them saying there is danger ahead that is sure destruction (like Bridge Out) if they persist on traveling that broad road and they are like "I don't see any problem so it can't be true so just move over you crazy nut." I'm being funny about it but it's really sad. Especially when the detour signs leading away from destrucion and to the straight and narrow road are also plain to see in sight for everyone to read and it leads to life everlasting.

I thought of these words to the hymn after reading this question; http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuSrB1NYrCT.HM0NIrA5z4bd7BR.?qid=20070125101421AAfUdpw

If anyone can find the words to that hymn, I would like to have them

Have they been all chased away by the non-religious people that run this site now? Everytime I ask a religious question to do with God, 3/4 of the answers I get are from people who mock God. Can someone religious please answer my last religous question? Thanks.

They actually believe that amino acids assembled themselves into proteins and then those proteins assembled themselves into reproducing living cells that evolved into fish and later evolved into humans. And all this due to a random explosion in space caused by nothing. That’s identical to believing in perpetual motion and magic so isn‘t that really superstitious?

I can't find in my bible footnotes or my bible handbooks what year the flood happened but since Noah planted a vineyard after the flood it would have to be at the earliest, 10,000 BC since that's when man first began farming. But even if we give it a few thousand years more, that still isn't enough time for all the races on earth to have "evolved" from this one man's family. What are people's thoughts on this?

I know we never completely know someone else's mind, but we do know the minds of those closest to us, to an extent. Why can't they know God's?

I like a Scriptural, old time religion type program. The pastor needs pastoring. It could be general Christian radio stations, shortwave, or television. The best I ever heard was Dr. Howard C. Estep of "The King is Coming." I do not like a program where the preacher thinks God is an American, Republican. A good service does not need to be a show. Jesus did not heal people for show, it was out of compassion. In fact, he often asked those healed to not discuss it. Jesus know the religious establishment would use it against him.

Hope not asking to much. But the kind of service for me would be that which is scriptural, includes the love of Jesus, but also the judgment of the Ten Commandments.

If you want to deny the existence of God, then fine. But how can you prove that you exist to deny him in the first place? Cogito ergo sum?

I find this self-defeating. Please explain.

Which is statistically more probable in your minds a Perfect all knowing all powerful being with power to instantly create a screwed up Earth creates itself out of nothing, than several flawed lifeforms can be created over billions of years through evolution?

No data needed... and by data... i mean bible quran(?). or other book verses... or math. unless its really good math. By really good, i mean easy to understand. Just a wonderful matter of eloquently stated opinion, with your reasoning. Not the bibles reasoning. PLEASE! Just do it....

Wouldn't everyone die?

Someone said "God said to kill a murderer" then doesnt that make you a murderer to? Then you would have to die then who ever killed you has to die to etc.

So is this the end of humanity?

I know that there are conflicts going on between the muslims and Israel and that the Muslim Mosque is built over where the temple is Supposed to be but I think it is possible to get the 3rd temple built because I believe in the 2nd coming of Christ. You may think I'm Insane (I partially do) or don't even care.Just let me know if you think it possible for us to build the temple without World War 3 breaking out(A.K.A religious war).My friends and family are with me 100% on this and I was wondering if you are too.

many christians non-speaking arab claims that God's only name is Jehovah while Allah is a false moon god. Did you realise that the first christians ever were the arabs ? It's funny to see the bigotry that lies in today's western christian people. Let me explain
"allah is the arabic word for "god". It is not a pagan god. The only difference is the concept of Allah in Arab Muslim and christian theology.

Arab muslims believe "Allah" is a unified diety which doesn't have a son and it is actually one.

The Christians Arabs on the other hand believe "Allah" is the father,
One of the trinity and some of them even believe Jesus is "allah".

So here you go.... If you don't believe me,I really advice you to visit an Arab christian heritage website :

http://www.al-bushra.org/

This is not an Islamic polemic nor christian polemic website.
It is an arab christian website.

let me quote :

Lord God, Adonai, Allah, HaShem, O Most Holy, give us the wisdom to see your will and not our interests. Help us to see in every person our equal, our brother, so that we may discover that you are the Almighty God for everyone of us equally and not the God of some people or nation, promissing lands to some and destruction to others. God, Lord, Adonai, O Most Holy, your are the God equally to everyone, loves everyone the same way, and everyone has to stand equally in front of you for judgement, we adore you as our ONE GOD, ALLAH, YAHWEH Adonai." Al-Bushra
