I've heard people say ID cards, RFID chips, etc, are potential candidates - it seems irrational to me to have a government ID so easily linked to proof you are a servant of the devil in some people's minds.
Then again, maybe I take that back... I could see it if you don't like your government... :D

because the bible says its going to be a mark that everyone is forced to have. they will need it to purchase to do this and do that. its just their thinking that their god is soon to come to them and rescue them.
however i dislike the idea because its invasion of privacy and given technology anyone could get a lot of information about u.
there have been signs of the end times since the time the book was written.

Not all Christians believe that. That belief is linked to the pre-trib theory which is endorsed by the "Left Behind" series and many Sunday-keeping churches, but it is not Scriptural.
The Seventh-Day Adventist Church believes that the "Beast" of revelation is the Catholic Church, and that the "Mark of the Beast" is Sunday worship (counterfeit worship). The Catholic Church has even admitted that Sunday worship is her "mark of ecclesiastical authority". It is usurping the authority of God in the Scriptures that says you should only worship God on the Sabbath. We believe that it's going to come down to an issue of "Whom are you going to worship?"

In a weird way, I kinda think they will use our social security number as a mark... Or maybe credit cards, or micro chips..
hahahaha, Who knows!!
All I know is that when we are "encouraged" to get branded, I wont be in line.
I think it will be quite obvious when the time comes, because the bible says that no one will be able to buy nor sell without the mark. scary.

Personally I believe any mark of the beast will be within our hearts. It'll be the beast that comes out of us to spew hatred on each other whilst seeking out our ticket to Heaven. You'll know these people by how bitter they are that they weren't raptured, and how they blame it on others.

well it seems to me that when the Antichrist is trying to decieve many, he will not be doing something that people allready think is going to be 'a mark of the beast'.
