well apparently some wise guy along the way of the big christian boom decided that marriage was the unity of two people as one in the eyes of God.
Although quite honestly John the Baptist had a different point of view.
and lets not point out that people were married way before this big mainstream thing we call christianity.
so apparently its been dubbed a "christian" thing. although i dont hear anyone raising hell and barracading whenever atheist decide to get married. or other non believers. they arent in an uproar when muslims, jews, or buddahists decide to. so i guess not.
the only time marriage being a "christian" insituion is brought up or forced on is when gays want to be married
*rolls eyes*

To get married legally is to have fairly paper called a license notarized. Spiritually an Atheist does no longer get married in a church or have it officiated by way of a non secular chief. Atheist might desire to pass to the courtroom abode and do it. Muslims and Jews can get married everywhere like Christians because of the fact their faith believes in marriage too (like us) and their ceremonies are diverse from ours yet they do have self belief in a God (won't be Jesus in spite of the undeniable fact that). Gays, couldnt get legally married (some states nevertheless cant) because of the fact the remarkable definition of marriage is between a guy and a woman (in Biblical words and united states of america of america's words)
