No, it is not "kosher" for any Jew to eat pork. But, unfortunately, there are many Jews who do not keep kosher. Yes, those who are Orthodox are extremely careful about every bit of food being carefully kosher supervised.

Some non-Orthodox will at least pay lip service to kosher and not eat pork, but will eat beef and chicken that is not kosher certified. At least they are keeping to a small part of kosher.

So, even though your initial question was not correctly phrased, the conclusion you reached is pretty much on target. The Orthodox keep very strictly kosher. The Conservatives not quite so much. The Reform and even more liberal groups tend to ignore kosher entirely, and that is just the religious Jewish community. Unfortunately, the majority of Jews today are not even religious, so they wouldn't worry about it one way or the other.

Most Jews today in the USA are not strict kosher in their dietary habits. This is a shame as a kosher diet, done properly is very healthy. Kosher means clean.

Sure, being Jewish doen't mean you live a kosher lifestyle. Kosher refers to a set of strict dietary laws which only the most faithful followers maintain, as it is difficult to achieve this kind of diet in our (US) culture and requires two sets of dishes, sinks and utensils and includes other restricted foods.
